I don't understand it.... He missed a FG in a game at the Swamp..... Last year Daniel Lincoln had a great season, only missed a couple of FG's and was still dogged.
We can't always have guys like Reviez, Colquitt, Walls, or Wilhoit on the team....

Palardy is a good kicker, he just hasn't had much pressure on him yet, give him time. He will develop just like everyone else on the team.

When a kid is touted as the #1 kicker in the country, I would think they could AT LEAST consistently kick the ball off past the 10 yard line...

I think the hate on Palardy comes from the fact that he was soooo hyped on this board coming out of High School. Everyone was saying "our kicking worries are over", it was an absurd thing to say about someone that had not set foot on campus yet.

And there is the fact that he missed a field goal he should have hit.

A: He came in over hyped and hasn't lived up to it.

B: He can't kick it in the endzone.

C: Everyone one of his FG attempts hook to the left and are normally low.

D: His PAT's are low

E: I have absolutely no confidence in him to hit a clutch kick, do you?

I could go on...

has he made more than he has missed this year? should the top kicker out of high school do so or even be close? there are many better kickers in the knoxville area that wouldn't require a waste of a scholarship to play in orange.

I am pretty sure everyone of the posters here could go out to the swamp and miss the field goal. He is there to MAKE Field goals. He has not lived up to the hype (agreed) and the dude is losing the faith of the coaching staff and the team. You keep choking and that's what happens. He is certainly not clutch.

Because he sucks, maybe he should try kicking right footed, cause he can't hit anything left footed.

Florida had a kicker who was kicking 10yards deep in the end zone and the so called #1 kicker in the country cant get it to the 10 yard line. He cant kick a fg worth a crap either.

Lincoln took a lot of crap the last two years, but I don't think any Tennessee kicker has taken the amount of crap for one game that Greg Burke took after the 1990 Auburn game.

He almost single handedly undid the rest of the team's work in the '09 Bama game with his crap-lousy kicking, and he missed an extra point that cost us the MCB last year. Fans frustration with him was certainly warranted.

He doesn't look like a college kicker. A good kicker is one that you think the worse you are going to get is 3 points on the board when you get to the 25 yard line of the other team.

Because he has yet to kick the way he should as the number one HS kicker in the country. Inaccurate on FGs and most kick-offs are short to around the 10.

I would bet there are less than 5 on VN that could kick it to the 10yd line without bouncing it

There might be a few that actually could make that kick consistently. UT could always hold campus tryouts.

Thanks for stopping by Mr. Palardy. We don't hate him but don't have any faith in him either. It's pretty clear why.
