Why Republicans Are Better Stewards of the Economy

I need a good laugh. Give me your reasons.

Trump is so different from the norm with Republicans. This is an absolute disaster, but not exactly representative of what I think of Republicans.

There are definitely more dangerous economic ideas generally coming from the left, but I can't say with any certainty that one party is better in practice than the other.

Republicans are better stewards of the economy because they let market forces prevail... free trade, less government intervention.

MAGA economy on the other hand... couldn't find their ass with a mirror and a flashlight.

Republicans are what Republicans vote for. They don't vote for the Romneys anymore. They vote for Trump. Those are Republican values and principles at this point.

Trump has had the GOP in his grips for a number of months now, as it became clear he was their standard bearer for the WH and then won. Rank and file GOP leadership have had to hold their noses more than once in the last 90 days to keep from angering him.

But it sure does appear that cracks are forming earlier than I would have expected as legislaughters feel the heat form constituents worried about some of the practicalities of all this.

You are still pandering that two party crap? He destroyed the GOP and the Democrat party committed suicide. Maybe you should consider that for a moment because your post history doesn't seem very good on this subject, imo.

The Impeachment Thread

The GOP is leaving the deck of the Titanic ASAP.

(FYI, if you don't get rid of your TDS, this will continue to impact your judgement on these subject, just saying)

Against oppressive taxation.

Against stupid regulations.

Against bloated government.

For competition and free markets.

For a balanced budget and reducing the ND.

In favor of an ROI on government expenditures rather than government handouts.

It’s not a difficult formula. But it takes a long term vision.

Would any of our leftist posters on here care to say why any of this is a bad thing? ^^^^^

It's fantasy land. Republicans don't do those things and know they only have to talk about them to get votes. At least the dems are more honesty about what they'll do with your money
I was just asking if any of this was a bad thing. Disagree with the dems being more honest. Where did that all that money go for high speed internet go?

Where's all the money for defense go?

The dems want more of your money to spend and will tell you so. Repubs claim to want to spend less but in actuality they just want to spend your money on different things. No one is actually cutting anything

I'll give you that one, though I would argue that now, finally, that is being looked at....we'll see how far that gets though. I would also point out that the dems needed no border bill combat illegal immigration. They just wanted to steal more money and were lying to the American people about needing it.

Look at the last sentence again.

There’s only been one instance of one party in charge of the Executive branch for more than 2 consecutive terms since FDR. So when the Rs plan starts paying dividends the Ds step in, claim they are the overlords of a growing economy, and then tax and spend it back to the start of the cycle.

Except it's not being looked at. Trump jitsu talked about expanding it to $1T without a mention of cutting waste instead to make up the budget

Trump needed no border bill to combat it his first term either yet he concentrated on building a monument in the desert instead.

Both are stealing but US politics is just about which side is spending the stolen money like you want.

Pretty sure DOGE is looking at it, though I don't know how far it will go. Hopefully a long way.

You can not be serious.
Democrats are notified at all honest about their actions on the economy.

“We’re going to tax the rich so they pay their fair share “ while the whole time knowing that the rich don’t make money through “ income”

Yup that the honest group
