O briens success at Penn State has me thinking that we could do worse than hiring a top flight pro coordinator. We would want to find someone not prone to jump at an NFL job, but if we could find someone who can recruit and has previous college experience it could work.

I have often thought that Josh McDaniels of the Pats would make a good college coach. I think he knows his x's and o's and young enough and well spoken enough to recruit well!

Dom Capers may have had a bad year last year, and I would be cool with him coaching UT, if we already did not have GRUDEN

BOTH of the Niner's Coordinators should be on the list.

I know Hart is looking for someone with good HC experience, but I really like the idea of Greg Roman more and more

Agreed. Im a big Niners fan and would love to see Greg Roman as our HC. Any coach that can make Alex Smith Pro-Bowl worthy is a genius IMO.

His name is Vic Fangio he used to be the D-coordinator at the Texans before he got hired by Harbaugh.

Word. I should have looked it up but I just got this phone and I'm not good with research yet. Im sure hes a great coach I just wonder if hes a little old for a first time coach.

Dont know why he would limit our options. Plenty of examples of first time coaches having success.

After the last 2 hiring fiascos, it would not be a wise move. It wouldn't appease the fan base, and at this point he needs to

If appeasing the fan base is even a concern of his then he can hit the road too. He gets paid a lot of money to make these decisions, not the idiots on Vol-Calls.

I like it. Jon Gruden was a coordinator.
