it's amazing how we hold these guys back for the future and guess what? the future never comes.


Just kidding, I know some of you were ready to jump. Actually I think redshirts are a fantastic idea. Very, very rarely are kids ready to start right out of High school such as Berry. Donald wouldnt be a mlb this year, which is our desperate area of need, so he will be well served by beefing up and learning the defense. For once this year Chief/Phil made the right call. By the way, I have a sneaking suspicion that if Ark kicks off, it'll be an onside kick.

Don't bring that up man...I went from a 10 to a negative 2...thanks alot...j/k....I really think next year's team is going to have alot of promise, got ALOT of talent and speed, I am hoping that JC can deliver but I am just not to sure about him, BJ will be waiting in the wings if he cant though....Would love to see Nick Stevens play, was watching him warm up on Saturday and he has a laser arm...

Bold: I'm not completely sold on him yet either.
Bold & UL: Seems like a good kid w/ tons of talent.
Underline: Everyone is saying he has the strongest arm that's been here in a while.

maybe I am missing something, but I don't remember Walker ever being on the field. Can we get an official word on that?

Edit: yeah, he has actually been in every game at some point or another, my bad. It's curious that I missed him, he must be getting a decent amount of special teams time.

FYI...

Chris has played Special Teams since the Cal game...kick off return and as of last week, kick off. He has also played "token snaps" in the 4th quarter at DE throughout the season.

As for his number (84), that was Chris' choice not "Tennessee's" as stated earlier. He had an opportunity to choose a"linebacker" number but opted to keep the number he wore at Christian Brothers.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, he didn't get his chance to knock Tebow out.

There's always next year. However, Chris' career at UT will not be judged by whether he has the opportunity to sack Tim Tebow. His goal is to help the Vols win a National Championship before he leaves.

That's great. I hope he achieves that here. If he knocked Timmy Tebow out during the championship year it would be even sweeter.

I really wonder why we have yet to see Art Evans since we are so thin in the secondary. My prediction is that Rogan will end up All-SEC by his junior year.

Me too. He's a little guy maybe they think he isn't physically ready? I don't know he tore it up in the spring.

seems like a true db as opposed to a wr trying to play db. If we can hire a decent secondary coach, Vinson, Berry, and Rogan have the potential to be the class of the SEC in a couple of years. If Slade stays.........

To be fair, Vinson's coach at Hargrave said he could be a first round pick at either CB or WR. Vinson liked WR better.
