If you find us a QB 7 to 10 might be reachable. I'm not sure BJ is the answer although i hope to see him play Sat

If we actually get someone that can improve players and motivate players.Chavis said on talk radio he didn't know what it took to motivate players does that sound weird or is that just me....

6 or 7 wins next season would be a good result. More than that would be a blessing. Fulmer has trashed this program, and it WILL take time to rebuild it.

I know we are 3-7 and it could get worse. I just think we have talent in house. We just don't have the staff to coach em up or put them on the field. I fell like we need to bring in a great coaching mind that is a good motivator. In 05 we were 5-6 then 9-4 the next year. And that was with imo lesser coaching ability than the names floating around. I think every single one of the "names" could come in and win 7-10 games next year easy. That's why imo Tennessee is a great job because the next coach doesn't have to rebuild.

We're UNDERDOGS against Vandy. Let that sink in for just a minute...

should bring at least 6 wins. A great hire should win 8 to 9. It also depends on the system. If we go to the spread it will take longer to get the players used to it and would probably be year 2 before dividends are really seen.

The new coaching staff, and yes, we'll get an almost entirely (if not entirely) new staff will have the opportunity to do well in Season #1. The OL will have to, no, make that need to be completely rebuilt. Between Stephens and Coleman, we find a reliable starter, and the pressure will be on to develop Boyd quickly. We should be okay at RB, TE, and WR, assuming the new position coaches know what they're doing.

On defense, the speed is there. Teach them how to tackle, play press coverage, and find a way to pressure the QB, and we're a "top-third" SEC defense. Not that tall of an order.

Special teams remains a question mark, until the new staff proves it ain't.

Looking at the '09 schedule, the right staff should win 8 or 9 games. That's a good start.

I would say the key issue is building a solid O-line. Do that, and we're in decent shape.

Go Vols.

Funny how our seasons have gone kind of like our recruiting. Two medicore classes out of four. Throw 2005 class in as a bust and the picture becomes clearer. Bad coaching, plus bad classes get coaches fired.

I say give the ball to Boyd the second he walks on campus.

Without even giving BJ a shot? Can't judge him because our coaches refuse to play him. Cutty recruited him for a reason. Besides remember Coach O proclaimed our ole QB the starter before he got on campus and that turned into a disaster. Just because he's highly rated doesn't mean he's gonna be great (ala Crompton).

In the history of UT football, it has never been worse.
