Just got finished watching ESPN, you would think Florida was a NFL Pro Bowl team the way they are overrated on there. They have some good athletes, but so do we. UT football had a down year in 08' due to the lack of a QB and a new coaching staff in charge.

Its not like UT is Charleston Southern, I find it hard to believe that our players arent motivated to win this game against Florida. And I find it hard to believe Florida will feel similar motivation considering the media has hyped them all year as if they are invincible

I think this will be an upset by Tennessee, 35-24.

Then have the media overrate the significance by claiming its one of the biggest upsets of All Time, when we are actually a pretty damn good football team.

Yeah it is getting kind of ridiculously.. but all of these people running their mouth..
They don't control the game.. The boy's on the field do...

Like Rico said, They will decide what happens..

So if the situation were reversed...UT is #1, the defending national champion, with a previous Heisman winning QB in line for a possible second one, and playing at home, against a Florida team that had a below average QB and had just lost at home to UCLA....you're saying you'd think people were crazy for saying UT would win by several TDs? And you wouldn't be laughing at Gator fans who were saying UT was prime for upset and all this?

It's easy to back a team with a lot of talent and a schedule that would make WKU envious. A weak SEC east coupled with a couple of FCS teams for a returning national championship team which has it's entire defense returning... sheeesh. It's easy for the espn idiots to get on board with that.. it's safe. I'd love for one of them to go out on a limb and pick LSU over the gators... but it ain't gonna happen. Now that Bradfors is down.. hopefully colt McCoy has a stellar year.. he'll need it to wrest the hypeman away from everyone's all American.. but then again.. as I said earliler.. tebow doesn't play anyone, so it's easy to pump up his numbers.

I love all the high numbers that people are throwing out. Just makes us look better when we keep it with in 100.

No, no, no. If the situation was reversed, ESPN folk would be picking an upset.

Of course... so what's your point?

Every season is filled with disappointments and I think Florida and their can't lose team might just be one of them.

They are favored by 30 and in my experience under dogs get lost in the hype and come in and upset the status quo.

This is not gonna be a blowout, I think TN will give them all they want.

Last season and last week proved we are a joke these days. However we still can beat the average SEC team. I think the FL hype has gone too far this week. You would think someone would say it's possible for us to win. Guess that's a true definition of how far we have fallen.

This is an example that one should not post when high on drugs. I would venture to say that Florida is three deep at every position with four star, or five star, ball players. I know Alabama has 53 four/five star rated players on the roster right now so I would think UF would be even better that that. How many do we have on the roster of this rating? Maybe ten?

If you think we are a pretty good team I think you have been watching reruns from ten years ago.

what I don't understand is that we are such underdogs. We didn't lose by 28 or whatever last year. I think we are at least better this year than last year.

As far as "Prime upsets" go, I would say it doesn't get more Prime.

This has got to be the biggest pre-game media shelacking our VOLS have ever taken.

I certainly don't remember a time when so much coverage was about us getting our butts handed to us. Typically they wait until the VOLS are down by 3 points to bandwagon on the other team... any other team we ever seem to trail.

I don't think we've ever received much respect from ESPN or other sports news channels but it's getting stupid.

Pretty damn good football teams don't lose at home to a team with a true freshman OT, a guy who hasn't played QB in 2 years, and many freshman and sophomores playing their first meaningful game.

We aren't as good as you think we are. Hell, we're not as good as I thought we were, and I didn't think much of us to begin with.

I'm trying to figure out how a team that has won two of the last 3 national titles is "overrated."
