Chavis has the most talented defense to work with. so why are we giving them a 10 yard cousion? we have to speed to play press d. yes, the offense let us down last night, but the d was horrible in the 2nd half. craft just made them look good in the first half. dont get me wrong we have a good d, its just the way they are being coached...

We should have blitz and then blitz some more instead... we sit back on our friggin heels in the second half and got beat!!!Do us all a favor Chavis leave UT 20 years is enough!!!

Good question. New, 3rd string Juco QB and when our guys rush, they hold their blocks instead of pinning their ears back. Norm Chow starts callings slants and sit and drops, but our D never adjusts and keeps the 10 yard cushion despite the fact we have the two safeties over the top and the JUCO QB can't throw it long. I don't see our dline running many stunts either, despite the lack of a great DT's. why IS Chauvis still the DC?

Bigger question- who is the ST coach? do we even know what it means to pressure a kicker (other than when we are kicking that is)? Rogan's talent doesn't cover all flaws. ST's play has been weak for years. Why hasn't CPF gotten heat over that?

we shouldve been blitzing very frequently, especially with a 3rd string qb. and then you wouldve thought that our corners wouldve caught on to what they were doing and step in and pick one off. but i guess not.

I've been on this board for a year now and have seen a lot of coach bashing. Now I personally like Fulmer. He is a great recruiter and the face of the program (good, bad or otherwise). As much as I do like Phil, the DC and OCs, to me, make or break things...and Chavis is a steaming pile. I have NEVER liked him. I'm no "expert" but I faind myself questioning his schemes on an amost weekly basis every Sept-January. I won't be on the "Phil must go" bandwagon anytime soon, but I may offer to pay for gas on the put Chavis to pasture wagon.

Sometimes you wonder, what other defensive coordinators would have done with an Al Wilson, or a Leonard Little, or even a Jason Allen. Im starting to agree, Chavis plays way to soft of coverages.

He (Chavis) is a part of a divine lot at the UofT:stooges:
Fulmer:cheer:Our great Rah, Rah guy, Chavis:drive2:Who can't keep the Big Orange Bus on the road for 4 quarters, and
 Slade, who thinks the only thing he has to do is kiss, (and believe me, its not that cheek he's kissing) and everything will be okey dokey. With these three running the show, we are in deep do do!!!
