Well it seems like lately i've just been laying an emotional roller coaster upon volnation. Understand I lived in Tennessee my whole life and I moved to ohio and have nobody. So you get to hear my problems, anyway......Last night I seen my life flash before my eyes for the very first time, I saw my unborn son, my mother, my fiance everything in an instant! I was heading down I-75 with my cousin and he decided he wanted to do 100 mph in the rain:crazy:As I told him to slow down, the car started to hydroplane, we did a 180 down the interstate, slammed backwards into a cement wall, bounced off of that one, went across all 3 lanes

hit another concrete wall and god spared me my life. I now know that god needs me here for something, what it is I dont know. When i got out of the hospital last night wondered why me? Man does he work in mysterious ways!

I think the first thing God wants you to do is kick your cousin's butt for being a complete moron.

yeah I wasnt happy, but you know what god spared my life so I think I could spare him his. I was just so glad to be alive after that. The sheriff and fire dep. told us 9.99 out of 10 accidents on the interstate like that end up in death or some kind of major problems. Ill post the pics of the car tomorrow

He got a concussion

I am glad that you are safe and sound and that your cousin has a concussion cause after a stunt like that he deserves one. As far as him admitting that UT is better than tOSU, that maybe the concussion talking their as well since he is an OSU fan apparently. Just for the record, I am glad that he is OK too, but he still deserves the concussion.

Glad your okay TennVols423. Sometimes we all need an eye opener. Sounds like this was yours. Hope your cousin is okay. When he gets well you need to kick his a$$, then forgive him.

Glad to see you're alive. A Subaru wagon once did the same thing right in front of me on I-5. The portion of that freeway that goes through SW Portland is extremely curvy, and you literally can't go more than 60 on it without losing control in a regular car. I was in the right lane and he actually passed me on the shoulder going probably 90-ish, spun out, hit the concrete median then spun out the other way.

Is your fiance ok? thank goodness you didn't hit anyone. I was traveling to Columbus yesterday afternoon and went through some downpours on 70.

she was not with us, thank god! If somebody would have been in the back seat they would be seriously hurt. The car is nothing but the front seats. My body is still hurting real bad, his insurance company has called like 5 times. I think they might be worried about "whiplash"

First, I am glad to hear both of you are not seriously injured. I am sure your cousin intended no harm.

Thing is, people drive like this and put their own lives at risk, as well as the lives of their passengers, but they also risk the lives of complete strangers. Now that your cousin is okay, I would like to see him heavily fined. I guess he lost the car and that's pretty bad, but I think society needs to exact a little punishment from him for acting in such a way as to recklessly endanger others.

I feel this way as regards motorcyclists that go 90 or so on the highway, by the way. They'll tell you that they risk only their own lives, but that's a lie. They cause accidents and panic when pulling such stunts.
No offense to him or to you.

I know, I know. And I suppose that no "punishment" is really necessary. I'm just personally irked right now at the way some of these guys are riding rice rockets around Central Florida and they just don't understand that getting into an accident with their bikes usually means actually causing an accident and that frequently involves another car.

On a lighter note, I too believe that God put you here for a purpose. I just hope it does not involve you celebrating a Vols victory on 9/15/07!!

glad to hear you both are ok. hopefully your cousin learned his lesson and wont do that kind of stuff again. i've known some people over my life that have hydroplaned their car and suffered far worse than what you guys did. sounds like god was with both of you. just an FYI, rain+fast driving=very bad idea (especially on the interstate)
