Why I dont like comparing 1st year/time coaches

I keep seeing the same comparisons, which I think is ridiculous.
Saban's 1st year at Bama gets compared to every coach we bring in. You know, NC winning Saban at a recent 10 win team.
I've seen us compare Butch or Pruitt to Smart who stepped into a program that fired their coach because 10 wins werent enough.
Now I've seen comparing Pruitt to Les Miles and Mack Brown's new gigs. The reasoning you would do this is beyond me, and Im not just saying that because its a new HC vs NC winning experience.
Why in the world would I want to compare my coach's rebuilding performance to that of some team thats not even in my teams conference?
I dont care what Kansas or UNC's condition was in and what they do. I am evaluating my coach based on how I see where the program is at in the SEC and where I expect the program to be at vs their rivals at such n such timeframe.
So for those complaining because of what Miles or Brown has done in their 1st couple games or will do this year... just stop it.

Our you not interested in seeing it because our coach comes up short in virtually every single measuring stick you can find? I mean...I don’t need to look at what any else is doing...we hired a guy that will never ever be successful as a big time college coach. The shear number of dumb things he’s said and done in less than two years is staggering and shocking...and as a Tennessee fan theres not that much that shocks me any more. Why in earth our ad would choose an assistant from our rival (hat absolutely has lived his entire life aspiring to be at that said rival)...is beyond me. Sometimes is so shocking how people end up where they end up. How could a guy that can barely put together a sentence that has live his whole life worshipping bama could end up being our coach (after never being a head coach in his life) is mind boggling. And how a guy that was fired over a decade ago for not keeping up with the times (and game) could end up being in charge of making that hire to begin with is equally as mind boggling. And how we ha e fans defending this $hit show as opposed for continuing to push to get it right is maybe the most mind boggling of it all.

The UT job is a revolving door. Pruitt was the only person to take the job.
I
I keep hearing this lately but I don't think it's true, when our coaching search was ongoing, I heard that Les Miles really wanted the job and Mike Leach was open to interviews. Some say he even took the job. I'm not advocating for either of these coaches but to say nobody wanted the job is just not true.

Maybe I will advocate just a little..... I don't know if Leach is a good fit here or not, but he's taken two programs to excellence that were nothing before he got there. It's taken him more than 3-4 years to do it and he's never had the mystical 2nd year jump.

So we don’t know if he would actually take the job, but you know his motivation for doing so, if he were to do so?

Did I read that right?

Ya, you did. I have to admit that I stole that perspective from pretty much every sports pundit on TV or radio, so...
