Bama, nor anyone uses press man against offenses like UT. That would be a disaster. Saban uses what he calls a cover 7. It's basically a nickel (star hybrid lb/s) quarter shell that will have the corners play man vs certain wr stack and bunch routes. Most of the time they're in a quarter shell with the star adapting at will vs run or pass. It's pretty clever tbh. You have to have great intelligent corners because their coverage changes during the play depending what route is ran their way. That's why Saban always coaches the cbs in practice.

We’ve got several guys that are legitimate threats every time they’re on the field. Better to have a healthy wr that can execute the offense than a hurt one. If Tillman is close to 100% get him in. If not rely on the other guys that have been clutch while he’s been gone.

That might work for a series, but teams would be able to tell pretty quick whether he was 100% or not.

Also, it's not very smart putting an injured player on the field where he could aggravate that same injury.

We have shown we are deep at WR, the one's we have don't need a decoy on the field. Check out coaches caviar on youtube to see an excellent breakdown on the offense vs. Lsu. He shows how CJH uses motion and formation to have receivers running wide open.

they will use their front 7 to send plenty of blitz pkgs and attempt to get Hooker out of the game, similar to what happened when Sampson didn't block his blitzer.
