I think most of you know I’ve been one of the majority in that I’ve been down on the team.

Hate the way we played against WVU and UF. Hate the lack of points we put up on UTEP.

Hell, I even realize that we aren’t and will not be a competitive football team with the upper tier (or maybe even the middle tier) of SEC teams.

But here I am, 3 hours before kickoff thinking “maybe Pruitt has the game plan and UGA will come out flat”. No matter how bad the season is there is always a part of me every Saturday thinking there is hope.

And that folks is why we watch the game from the comfort of my living room because I’m not dilusional enough to want to buy tickets for away games this season).

Go Vols!

All I’m asking is to show some heart and keep it a competitive game.

How many Stanford fans do you think expected Stanford to beat USC in 2007? They were something like 28 point underdogs

Looking for aggressive play calling especially on first down, limit turn overs and good effort. If they do that I think we will at least cover the spread

Nothing wrong with loving your team, even though it has gotten more difficult, even when we was winning with Dobbs, it was still hard to unconditionally love them because I knew we should have been better than we were. We had to scratch to win a lot of games that should have been a blow outs. All of that only led to the misery we now face and it’s very trying times for us true Vol fans.

Nothing wrong with getting fired up just before kick off with John Ward's voice in your head saying " Its football time in TENNESSEE" before every game.

I still do it every game.

The problems begin when the game gets started and you get reminded of most of the last 10 years instead.

I think they come out even tighter than usual on the road with the play calling which will inherently make it worse.

Could be right but what do they have to lose? Pruitt needs to drill the mind set, that win or lose we are going to be aggressive. Just me being armchair quarterback.

Oh trust me, I’m 100% aware of that. But maybe it will.

That’s my problem is hours before game time I lose my normally level head and the maybes take over.
Overly Negative are the words your looking for not level headed, j/k I'm the same way you never know what will happen but we all have a pretty good idea

I don't disagree at all with coming out aggressive. I'd rather see them going down swinging than more run..run..pass..punt.

My concern is Pruitt and Helton's mindsets in coming off a 6 turnover game.

Your hope will last as long as a high off a can of compressed air.
