Why did you edit my post/merge my thread/pm me a warning?

Editing posts

Posts are edited when they contain serious name-calling and insults of any kind. You guys really shouldn't complain. I USED to edit any and all profanity, but the other mods called me a prude so I quit.


Merged Threads

Many times on an internet message board, posters miraculously have the same "original" topic idea, complaint, question, etc. within the same 24 hours. Merging a thread is not a slam at your idea. It is just put with same/similar topics to make easier reading for everybody and to keep you from getting Carpal Tunnel from posting the same reply 100 times.

Warnings in PMs

I cannot speak for the other mods, but as for myself, I hate having to send warnings to grown men and women about their actions. We KNOW it is just a message board and we KNOW you feel VERY strongly about the point you are trying to make. However, we are also a Big Orange Family on here and it is not a democracy. ( I love that line and wish I'd invented it, but Freaky did. ) The rules are posted. Please do not take offense if we shoot you a warning, unless it's Freak. In that case be afraid....be very afraid. :wink2:

Finally, thanks to all of you for making VN a great place to hang out and

GO VOLS!!!

Threads are deleted if the mods disagree with the opinion.

Might I humbly add:

Moved threads:

There are other forums beside the main board. If your post does not somehow relate to Volunteer athletics and it disappears take a look in the Sports Forum or Pub (most likely), depending on content.
