Why? Because he's being honest. Giles is going to SCjr because he doesn't want to compete with Oku. Fact is Drayton is a really good recruiter. As far as coaching we can't really judge him because our offense sucked so bad last year. Barry Sanders couldn't have gained a 1,000 yds the way our offensive line looked. Kiffin hasn't canned him yet so there must be a reason. If Kiffin keeps him on staff and our RBs excel next year everyone will be praising him.

Call me crazy but I rather bring in a proven coach at RBs than take another year to see if Drayton is a bad one.

What more do they need to hire Gran. He is a super coach and his list of players leaves little to be desired. I have watched his players at Auburn and he is a real coach and a super person. He needs to be hired at Tennessee....(Now don't get the idea I support Auburn, I don't just have seen them play a lot and his runners are good...Until this year when no one was good.

I don't know much about Drayton's coaching or recruiting ability. I figered once Giles commited to USCjr that he would be canned. I thought that Giles was the only reason he was being kept around. This would be a good week to make the next coaching decision/change cause it sure is slow around here news wise.

Everyone is basing this off of what Giles said. Have you heard some of the quotes from Giles. This kid doesn't seem to bright. Who knows if this is really what Drayton said anyway. Before we can judge Draytons coaching ability we have to have an effective O-line.
As far as Gran, if he is the super great coach that peolpe on here seem to think he is how come Chisik didn't keep him?
I'm not saying Drayton is the best RB coach out there but people that say he can't coach a lick aren't to bright either.You don't get coaching jobs at UT, UF and Miss State because you suck.

How do you "don't just have seen them play a lot". Sorry but our lack of a running game had more to do with Clawson than it did with Drayton.
