Why did I make that stupid 2-2 deal with the Devil.

When the season started and you looked at the four game gauntlet, did you say that you would be ok with going 2-2 if the two wins were over East teams Florida and Georgia.

I did. :thud:

So, last Saturday during our comeback at Tamu, I was trying to renegotiate with maybe a kidney or a lung or something on the table.
Well, that, obviously didn't work.

And, now, I really really want to renegotiate to beat Bama.
Was going to hire Johnny Cochran to represent me.
But, he's dead.
So, now what?
Anybody else ever renegotiated such a deal or are they just iron clad solid? :eek:hmy:

You were right to begin with. 10-2 with an excellent chance of beating Bama or A&M in Atlanta.

I said before the season that Alabama was the only real loss I could see. Didnt expect TAMU to be that good. But, I also said all of that and prefaced it with unless we suffered catastrophic injuries. Which we have suffered. With the injuries, coming out of the gauntlet 2-2 is very impressive.

I picked 3-1 saying I couldn't figure out tammy. We lost that one so bammer is a lock. I don't count team 120 out til the clock shows 00:00!!

I'd say the vast majority of Volnation thought we would go 2-2 and 10-2 (which is very impressive) It was always the reasonable way to look at it. Suddenly after half our roster is injured we are going to beat their ass. Lol some of you guys are in for a rude awakening tbh.

The only rude awakening I'm dreading is when I go into an Alabama game thinking the Vols don't have a chance. When I lose my blind optimism for the Vols, it will be a sad day indeed.

We beat Bama. The entrails show it.

Way too many people are hung up on a true FR coming into Neyland as a huge deciding factor. And I would agree if that guy was Jacob Eason. Hurts is as mobile as Dobbs with a better arm and better talent around him.

Not to mention we have some OL injured and that doesnt bode well with as good as Bamas defense is playing.

In all honesty, with the injuries we have, nobody could blame Tennessee if they get beat.

Everybody keeps talking about Bama's D but wasn't Florida's D the best in the country when they met us?

Edit: Not that rankings mean much but the gators are #2 ranked D and bama is #12 according to the FBS.

No disrespect, but you made a deal with the devil for 2-2? I could easily see 3-1, but 2-2. Tell you what. You married? I would try to throw in a couple of in-laws. Might not work but no harm in trying. :)
