Why can’t we just go out and pay for a good coach?

The definition of "good coach" changes from game to game. One could argue that there are 49 total points on the board with (7 minutes to go in the 1st half) that neither are good coaches on the defensive side of the ball. If you're talking about being able to watch a game and deciding whether watching grass grow or paint drying is more entertaining, then I agree with you.

Inept leadership and a toxic culture that has leaked down into every facet of the program. Barnes and the Basketball side of things are the anomaly.

Georgia is gonna fire Kirby - gave up 38 points in one half! The experiment is over! They need to hire a real HC and not some DC!

With equal rosters I think Pruitt beats Kirby more than he loses.

When I mentioned how stupid the extension was that Phil Fulmer gave him over the summer, with the pandemic, etc., someone took me to task basically saying the UT football program has a money printing machine. So, using that person's statement, offer Saban $50,000,000 a year to coach offense and Debo $50,000,000 a year to coach defense. Pay each position coach $30,000,000 a year.

We can't hire a big time coach because we don't have any big time money, we are spending it on FIRED coaches for the last 10 years, Dickey, Battle, Majors, Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, and most likely Pruitt will join the club if he continues with JG.

He doesn't get it, you can't keep your job at Tennessee if you can't beat Florida, Georgia and Alabama. We have a hard time with the rest of our schedule as well, and instead of grooming Maurer and Bailey, he would rather spend another season with JG stumbling around throwing interception or incompletions.

A&M is serious about winning and payed up with a 10yr deal worth over $75 million for Jimbo Fisher. You pay $3.7 million and you get a DC with no head coaching experience, none at any level. You really do get what you pay for.
