Unless the state of UT football is much worse than we all think, next week should be a W. So what is it that takes you out to Neyland for games that our second string should be able to win?

Edit: The point of the question is not that you shouldn't go. I'm trying to see what specifically people look forward to even though it's not one of the premium matchups of the year.

p.s. Yes, I will be there.

Spoken like a real fan, I'm pretty sure that CDD would enjoy the team taking this approach to the game also. BTW, I believe that CDD recently said that the Vols have a first string and a 3rd string, no 2nd string..just saying...

It is my alma mater, and if I am able to go I will go whether or not the team is good or bad. Go Vols!

I'm taking my 4 year old son to his first game in Neyland and:

1. I want (selfishly) his first game in Neyland to be a W
2. I have this coming weekend free from work
3. He is 4, and if he gets so restless I have to leave, I want to leave when UT has a 3 possession lead...
4. It's always great to be a Tennessee Vol. Opponent, current state of the program, etc really don't mean as much to me as a good Saturday in Neyland...

Regardless of who we are playing and what condition our program is in, UT football is still UT football.

BECAUSE I AM NOT A PART TIME FAN!

It shouldn't matter who we are playing.... support your team regardless of the opponent!

I guess you'd be in the boat though on questioning me why I drive 225 miles each way to the game.... It's because I love the vols and would honestly drive to Oregon to see my team... which I actually might unless I can find a reasonable plane ticket next year!

I live 20 minutes from Martin- I am a UTM alum and the only UTM game I will see this year will be 6 hrs away!

Don't you think it would be great for the team and future recruits to see that they have the fans full support no matter who they play? I really hope the place is packed.

The question was meant to ask what you enjoy about being there even though it's not one of the premium games on the schedule.

I'm actually driving in from Nashville and taking my wife and young son to the game.

Does everyone just assume that everybody is jaded and disgruntled when they ask a question?

I just wanted to get everyone to list the things they look forward to about being at the game since it's not against a big time rival.

Howabout-because college football games are awesome?
Tailgating?
Sun Dresses?

How many excuses do you need to go a TN game? I'm 4 hours away and will be there, and the next week when things really get nuts. I want to see Dooley start this era-f%$K, I was there for the start of the last one....plus part of me is worried that it might not be a blowout, and I don't need to be sweating a close game via ESPN gamecast.
