With all the kicking troubles our team has had, why are we not going after any kickers for the '13 class? I figured it should be a top priority.

What are your thoughts?

We have a good kicker worth looking at, here in West Tennessee. University School of Jackson. Troy Smigelski. I have seen him hit any where from 24 to 41 yard field goals this season. Kid has an amazing leg. Perfect this year for field goals and extra points.

I'm sure he is great Mr. Smigelski....jk

If we look at anyone, it should be Jonathan King from Farragut HS in Knoxville. The kid can BOOM it!

Who said we aren't going after a kicker? You do know that we aren't aware of all of the kids the staff recruits, right?

Sure is funny as hell as I look back, a year and a half ago I was flamed for bringing up the idea of a kicker/punter. Now we have multiple threads on kickers and our kicking game.

:eek:lol:

Tennessee needs to get '14 Aaron Medley from Marshall Co TN. Best kicker in the country by some rating services. He was kicking 40+ yarders when he was in Middle School and now kicks the ball through the end zone on almost every kickoff.

we signed Bullock last year. we do not need 3 schollies wasted on 3 Kickers.

I got to see the hurd kid from Abingdon high school this weekend , every one one of his kickoffs landed out of the back of the endzone . Btw vt was there looking at him .

You would be correct in a normal situation. Considering 2 of the 3 (and who knows how Bullock will be after his injury) are pretty inconsistent, at best. I don't think anyone should be opposed to giving another scholarship to a kicker, especially after seeing how much having bad kickers can change the game.

After this year it should be two if they sign another. Palardy should have his scholarship yanked.

what a dumb a55 statement ! Even as bad as Palardy is, he is still the best kicker & punter on the team.

1. George Bullock will never be the kicker at UT, at best he will kick off.

2. Derrick Brodus is a nice back up kicker.

3. Matt Darr is a terrible punter

4. Palardy did his part in the last game. (last weeks stats)
