Why are they denying interviews?

Tee Martin, Lane Kiffin, and Les Miles would be some of the better candidates we could get at this point. Why are we refusing to interview them?

Is Currie trying to sabotage the program? This seems downright negligent.

Haslam, big boosters, and Currie are trying to sabotage the program? This seems downright negligent.

That is not how it works - if it worked that way, then you and me could demand an interview.

Question though - why is no one else interested in Martin, Kiffin and Miles? Tennessee fans seem to be the only ones pushing an interest.

Les Miles, Tee Martin, and Lane Kiffin are much more qualified than you and me. That argument is a false analogy.

Hiring any of those 3 could also be considered negligent

Answer the second part of the question - why is no one except UT fans interested in the three? No other school with openings is giving them the time of day either.

At this point, out of pure frustration, I kick everyone out of the room, and get Miles here to start chowing down on the turf at Neyland. Just to be done with it

USC (Martin) and Florida Atlantic (Kiffin) are both playing in conference championships this week. I have no clue why Miles hasn't at least been interviewed.

I personally don't know what other schools are doing. But I think we are also in a different boat from other schools at this point.

Interviews require scheduling and transportation. Even if they were happening, a competent plan would require it to be confidential until something is moving. Enough of the "trial by media."

Interviewing does require scheduling, telling someone NO to any chance is different. Not even giving them a chance at a phone call.

If we are in fact interviewing Brohm right now, we’ve finally targeted an up and coming coach that is being targeted by multiple schools.

It also means that we’re in first, when he could take his pick of who to consider. This is the position we want to be in. Nothing against the three you’ve named, but there’s a reason nobody would be fighting against us to sign any of them.

Chad Morris, Kevin Steele, and NC State HC are pretty D-list to me.

Steele is a VFL and likely puts together the best staff of anybody left. I cringe thinking about what kind of staff Tee would have. Maybe Fulmer and Peyton could assemble it for Tee from behind the curtain.

Which is why teams are just beating down his door huh?

Doesnt matter about other teams, that is a cop out BS statement.

We are in total disaray, other teams are not.

He could bring stability to our program for 5 years and would win the east no doubt. He still has the fire.

Martin----no head coaching experience
Miles---age (jmo)
Kiffin---past experience with UT (feelings still hurt which is b!llsh!t)

Oh it matters if you have any pride left in your program. So many jobs open yet not a single interview? There's a reason you're ignoring

Why are we at the desperation point with the hire? It may be that some of the other hires are going to have to take place first.

P5 jobs still open and ranked in appeal by one writer:

1. Texas A&M: Looking at Fisher and (gasp) Morris (whom most on here have trashed)

2. Nebraska: Folks expect it to be Frost
3. Tennessee
4. Arkansas
5. Arizona State

If Fisher were to make the leap, then FSU would come on the table and would probably jump to the top of the appeal list.

This was NOT a good year for Tennessee to be looking for a coach.

Age!
Even though we have plenty of money, we don't have any oats or enough grass.
