Here are what two of the best QBs in the SEC this year were doing at the same stage in their development as Josh (3 years removed from high school).
Football | NCAA | Player Stats - Dak Prescott - Mississippi State Bulldogs - washingtonpost.com
2013 season: RS Sophomore
11 games played
58.4% completion percentage
1940 yards passing (7.3 yards per attempt)
10 TDs
7 INTs
Football | NCAA | Player Stats - Brandon Allen - Arkansas Razorbacks - washingtonpost.com
2013 season: RS Sophomore
11 games played
49.6% completion percentage
1552 yards passing (6.0 yards per attempt)
13 TDs
10 INTs
Football | NCAA | Player Stats - Joshua Dobbs - Tennessee Volunteers - washingtonpost.com
2015 season: True Junior
12 games played
59.9% completion percentage
2125 yards passing (6.7 yards per attempt)
15 TDs
5 INTs
If Dak Prescott and Brandon Allen can go from that to being 3000 yard passers that complete 65% of their passes, then why can't Dobbs? I'd argue Dobbs is ahead of both as passers after 3 years of college. Which means he should be even better than both next year as a senior.
You folks don't realize when you have a good thing till its gone. Josh Dobbs will be the best QB in the SEC next year and one of the best in the nation. Appreciate him before its too late.
