Why all the love for Gruden?

Uhuhhhhuhhhhhhhhhh... I was illustrating how the two are different and how success in one doesn't equate to success in another (I agree, Jeff Fisher >>>>>> Fulmer).

Examples:

College to NFL = Spurrier
NFL to college = Wannstedt

The NFL probably is tougher because of the salary cap and sheer competitiveness, but the two jobs are pretty different.

Assuming Notre Dame falls completely flat this year, again (and I think most of us are), Weis is another good comparison if you want to count coordinators.

I won't say Gruden will for sure dominate college football, but I would certainly give him a chance... Still missed the golden chance with Butch Davis though...

I would pay $5,000 of my own money to bring Gruden to UT. Gruden has had nothing to work with in Tampa since the post-Super Bowl firesale--Chris freaking Simms is probably the best QB he's had, and he's still managed a near .500 record. On the other hand, CPF has every available resource, both personnel-wise and financial, and he's barely above .500 in the SEC in recent years.
