Whos your NCAA upset picks?

Probably not more than 5-6 upsets in the first round and not more than 3 to the round of 16.

1st round- UNC Wilmington over GW; NC St over Cal; UAB over KY; Wisconsin over Az(minor upset but pretty much an even game); Seton Hall over WSU.

No kiddin'... I was once on the LSU over Duke bandwagon, but I'm backing off of it now that it's becoming the upset pick of the whole tournament.

I was in Birmingham today and lisiting to The Herb Winches Show and all of them including that loudmouth co-host broad named Kelly were picking Winthrop to upset the Vols! And most of the Bammer call ins were euphoric with the prospect of us getting beat inthe first round.

Boy, I hate Bama.

Of whom I am included. I can't imagine LSU getting past Duke. I dunno. To me there's a hierarchy. It's like the really really good teams: Duke, UConn, Zaga, UNC, Memphis....
Then there are the second tier teams of whom LSU and UT are a part. The second tier rarely breaks the top tier teams, at least from my perspective.

But Milo, pal, I'll take your bracket any day of the year. I'd gladly beat duke and then lose to Texas. NO problems with that. :) :post-20645-1119625378:

I wouldn't be completely shocked to see South Alabama beat Florida. South Alabama plays a very similar style of play as Tennessee. Also, Florida usually struggles in the tournament. I don't think it will happen, but it is possible.

UAB over Kentucky...would that really be considered an upset??? Herb, Ray, and Kelly's show is the only sports talk we get from 3p-5p and it is usually not very anti-UT, but the calls that come in to the show are pretty LAME. I love it when the UAB fans call in though and dog out Bama for never playing them in Football or Basketball....then the Bammers call in giving their educated reasons as to why they will not schedule them.

In name only is that an upset.

It's a rematch of an ass whipping UAB gave UK two years ago. The difference is neither team is as good as they were that year.

It's a toss up.

Wow! You're picks aren't looking too good there. Through the first day, I've only missed two games. I picked Xavier to beat Gonzaga, and I picked Winthrop over UT. Both turned out to be incredibly close games that I ended up losing. Congrats to the Vols on the tough victory today, and good luck against Wichita State. They looked REALLY tough today.

Actually my upset pick is Bradley over Kansas in the first round. It will happen!! And unfortunately, Tennessee loses to Witchita State in the second.

Not a bad pick if you haven't seen KU play since December...KU is the hottest team entering the tournament (and not Syracuse hot either,) won 15 of their last 16. Definitely one of the most athletic and talented teams in the tournament, only problem this year was their youth, yet they grew up fast.

KU might be the only team athletic enough to wear (not just run with) Memphis out, and well, Calipari has proven over his career, that if he actually has to slow it down and become and X's and O's coach, then his teams are doomed.
