Who's recruiting Texas?

The commits high school coach is a huge Tennessee fan, which was stated in many articles. I think that's a major reason why he committed. Don't get me wrong his verbal sounds solid, but I am not sure how much credit our recruiters should get for this catch.

sure the coach may have helped, but really. you think a recruit is gonna pick a college based on who his high school coach likes. really:crazy:

Texas is difficult. You have to screen out those who want to play in state. Then, those who want to play in the SEC, you have to hope that Arkansas, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn do not offer. That probably does not leave too many that we would want.

So by your philosophy we should hope no other SEC team offers or we can't get the kid? That's a BS style of recruiting.

OAN: Who else are we going to pull from Texas? Thought Miles was the only big time kid we were in on.

its not philosophy, its geography. go look at a map. its the same reason TN has for the most part had more success in Ohio and PA than those schools listed

We were in the final groups for WR's Massington and Jones but they verballed elsewhere. Other than that I can't think of other TX kids that were seriously considering us.

yea I don't really understand this either. we only go mcneil last year and the only other player that I can think of that we are recruiting is the lb mike mitchell. Glad we gor miles but we are not gonna exactly bring in five or six from texas.

Exactly. "Very good job" is being used very liberally here IMO.
