Recruiting Texas is huge. How much do you guys think facilities effect these kids' decisions???

With this new football facility we just built it seems to be gaining a lot of interest from the kids. As of right now there aren't any places like that on other campuses around the nation. I'm sure that other schools will begin creating places and possibly "one up" us eventually, but I think our facilities are top notch and are a big hit for us as far as recruiting.

Thoughts???

GO VOLS!!!

The new facilities are great. On the other hand the athletic department just let about 15 to 20 people go. Many close to retirement. I love tennessee but dam. One lady in which I know had been employed over 20 years and only 6 years from retirement. New facilities at what cost?

I know some of those people. I don't think of it as them losing a job, more like their charity ran dry and now they have to go out and actually get a job.

I think it depends mainly on the position the recruit plays. But who else in Texas that is highly rated are they in with outside of Miles?

yea I don't really understand this either. we only got mcneil last year and the only other player that I can think of that we are recruiting is the lb mike mitchell. Glad we got miles but we are not gonna exactly bring in five or six from texas.

Texas is difficult. You have to screen out those who want to play in state. Then, those who want to play in the SEC, you have to hope that Arkansas, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn do not offer. That probably does not leave too many that we would want.

The commits high school coach is a huge Tennessee fan, which was stated in many articles. I think that's a major reason why he committed. Don't get me wrong his verbal sounds solid, but I am not sure how much credit our recruiters should get for this catch.

Come on now. Give credit where credit is due.
