Who wins the East next year?

Yeah, that's clearly the best way to win a title.

Although I dunno why the conversation is even pertinent, D'Antoni and Amare pretty much guarantees exciting basketball and no championships.

The Bulls were a more cohesive unit. The Heat spent much of the year trying to figure out what way was up. Unless Chicago does something to improve drastically, the Heat will cruise.

The Heat had the best point differential which actually is a better predictor of future success than your current record is. Point differential indicated the Heat were going to beat the Bulls and they did*. I don't gamble too much, but when I've looked at regular season odds the spread almost exactly matches the 2 team's combined point differentials (accounting for home and away).

*Point differential said the Heat were going to beat the Mavs (so did W-L records), but schedules are quite different from conference to conference.

Showtime Lakers were giving up 110+ per game. Knicks won more than half of their games giving up 105 per. If they add the best pass first PG in the NBA who is also an extremely efficient scorer, I'd expect them to be pretty damn good.

Chris Paul working pick and rolls with Amare and Melo is a scary thought for the rest of the NBA.

If the knicks get CP, as long as the Knicks defense is in the top 20 in the league. they'll still dominate just because they'll be so efficient on the offensive side...
