Who wins the East next year?

I loathe them with a divine-like wrath, but its hard to pick against Miami, especially if they sign a player or two that can contribute and Mario Chalmers learns how to play PG.

Gonna go with the sleeping giants in Cleveland. The losses were just a fluke, Varejao is worth at least 40 wins.

Im gonna go with the Knicks IF they sign CP, I know Billups is a vet, but CP is on a whole other level....

I'm shocked

You're shocked that I would pick the best team in the East from this year to be the best team next year?

Opening day rosters are really needed to make a legit prediction but if nothing drastic changes they will be the favorites.

I think Billups is a better defender then most give him credit for, and Shumpert should take about 10 points off the scoreboard for the other team.....

If they do get CP3 there's a good chance they won't have Shumpert anymore

True, has anything been mentioned on who NYK will give up, I'm thinking they'll trade either Douglas or Billups and Shumpert

I haven't seen much, but that's what I would think as well; maybe both, since it seems like you'd need Billups to make salaries match but the Hornets would have more interest in Douglas.

I saw someone saying they may keep one of Douglas and Shumpert because they're "similar," but I don't see how since Douglas is a shooter and Shumpert really isn't.

Technically the bulls were the best this year.

The Knicks main problem is one of the positions which it's absolutely essential to have a good defender is occupied by a key player who doesn't play D.

They might be able to rely on the bottom 2/3 of the east sucking azz like usual, ride that to maybe a three seed at best and potentially a deep playoff run, but 0.01% chance they make the finals.

The Bulls were a more cohesive unit. The Heat spent much of the year trying to figure out what way was up. Unless Chicago does something to improve drastically, the Heat will cruise.

Not gonna make them any better on defense...

Really? I think adding the NBA's leader in steals makes you better. Paul makes you so much more efficient offensively you don't really need him to play defense. The Knicks would have a high scoring team that can actually outscore the opposition.
