Just wondering which sport you think UT will be better at football or bball....if you'd like add what you think will be their records and how far they will go. I have a feeling that the bball team will be better than fball. I see them going to at least the elite 8.

Well the first 2 seasons the BB team finished the season ranked higher then the football team, and that was mostly with Buzz Peterson's players.

Pearsl is a much better recruiter then Buzz. I see no reason why this trend won't continue.

I'd never think I'd see the day where the bball team would be better than the fball team. not complaining tho I enjoy having the bball team be successful and make runs in the tourney

bball I don't see a FF as much of a stretch.

fball looks like about the same as last year to me 9-4 to 10-3 range.

I imagine the basketball team will win no less than 2 or 2.5 times as many games as the football team.

I'll see that and raise you:

The bb team will average no fewer than twice as many points as the football team, and do it with less than half the number of players at any given time.

I expect the basketball team to win the SEC.

I hope the football team can win the SEC.

I think it will be the basketball team, easily. The basketball team has a legitimate shot at a Final Four trip and a national title game appearance. I don't think that can be said for the football team, I don't think they will get to the BCS next year, which can be comparable to the Final Four.

The basketball team will be favorites to win the SEC East and most likely the SEC next year. I can't see in the next few years when the football team will be favored to win the SEC.

This one is turning out to be a no brainer. I'd love to dissent, but I just don't see it. B-ball will likely be more successful.

Interestingly, the expectations are actually fairly comparable between the two... Basketball will be a disappointment if we don't reach the Sweet 16 and win the SEC East. Football will be a disappointment if we don't win the SEC East, win 10 games, or play in a BCS bowl. So for both, we're talking about finishing similarly, a measurable goal of winning our division, and finishing in the top 15 or so in the country.

Basketball team has a better shot most likely.
