A lot of these new guys start now...because they’re better.
Agree Butchna. If we don’t see freshmen and newcomers like Savion Williams sprinkled all throughout the two-deep from day one or soon after, we’re in trouble. We need Q and HT to make instant impact at LB, McCullough to come in and play early at safety, Williams to start on the DL, Harrison to be a have impact rushing the passer, AT LEAST 2 freshmen OLs to start and for Eric Gray to supplant Jordan and compliment Ty as the second RB. All jmo of course.

I’m hoping that some that are not freshman, particularly some Juniors and Seniors, will breakout but if I had to guess I say it will be one of the freshman on special teams and I’ll go with Beasley.

I'm going to go way out on a limb and say the Simmons kid out of Nashville at NT. At 6 ft 330 lbs, and he can run, he ran sprint relays on his hs track team, he has inherent athleticism. Ordinarily he'd be a project. That said every good DL coach I've known personally loves taking those fat boys and getting them turned around and mean. Tracy Rocker is a special type coach, I think he takes this kid under his wing and makes something out of him quickly.

For us to be at our competitive best Freshman are going to have to contribute, not necessarily start from day one but seriously contribute. Right now Roman Harrison looks like a kid that can step in and do that. It would be ideal for every OL incomer to be brought along slowly, but we really don't have that option so every incoming OL has the chance to stand out and shine. We'll see who puts in the work there.
