It's obvious where this season is going, the same direction it went last season. However, Fulmer will not get the same breaks he got last season with Florida lossing late and will be fired at the end of the season. Who will be our next coach? John Gruden, Johnny Majors, Steve Spurrier, or Nick Sabin? Let me know your thoughts.

Really silly thread, Fulmer is not going anywhere. And, I would venture out on a ledge and say if he did go anywhere the names you listed would not be the one to replace. Fulmer when leave when Fulmer wants to leave. Sad, but tue.

People say "its one game" no its not its the same old crap year in year out. CPF was good for Tennessee in the 90's and early 2000's. Now he looks clueless he cannot motivate this team. He hires in some "new blood" and what do we get same old crap. Chavis is beyond comment at this point he should have been gone with Cut last year.

What's up with all the stupid threads today. Can the mods not put a stop to all these pointless threads?

I always see Jon Gruden's name pop up in these threads. Would he seriously consider us?

OK, I'm new, but I've got 2cents....Fulmer/Chavis isn't going anywhere. I knew all these people that were saying we were gonna blow UCLA out were dreaming. I don't like the prevent, but Chavis has a job for a reason. We've got a QB that hasn't been tested. We've got a OC that's coming from a lower division. All in all, I don't think it was too bad. They just have to learn to finish, play with a little intensity, and quit shooting themselves in the foot. I think we'll catch a few sleeping this year and pull of some great wins, but I've thought all along we were really just preping for next season.

Fulmer will never be fired.

If he leaves it will be of his own volition.

"Who could we get to replace him?" is the FAQ.

"Anyone." Is my reply.

Clairvoyance is not required to see that last night's effort will result in regular SEC beatdowns. In season improvement the likes of which a Phil Fulmer team has never seen will be necessary to avoid disaster this season.

Spoken like a true Ron Paul supporter. haha jk. I doubt anyone is the truth. We couldn't get Sabin or Meyer, etc from leaving their positions to come here. Nor do I want Cryer or Money Bags Sabin. Just saying we cldn't get them.

Ok, here's my point...you show me who you'd like to have as a coach, and I'll show you someone who lets people down as much as Fulmer. Richt? If he's so awesome, why isn't UGA the BCS champion every year? The Ball Coach? Yeah, look at how he's turned USCar into a dominating team. Meyer? Couldn't follow up with a national championship even with the Heisman winner! And how bout that Gator bowl game last year? NOBODY IS DOMINANT EVERY YEAR. You have ups and downs. You win when you shouldn't and lose when you should. I'd much rather be a Vol fan than try to explain how I'm a Buckeye fan and we're constantly trashed in the big game. Everybody needs to get off the ledge and realize two things....1. IT'S JUST COLLEGE FOOTBALL. I'm as big a fan as anybody else. I wanted to puke, lost sleep, and couldn't believe it last night...but at the end of the season, its just a game. 2. WE PLAY BETTER AS UNDERDOGS. That's why I was immediately scared when people were picking them to blow out UCLA.

Richt wasn't on the list, he's terrible. I would take Spurrier in a second but we missed our chance when he left the NFL. Sabin will show you how good he is this year but has no loyalty to any team other than money. Gruden is our best bet to be winners.
Write this down "TENNESSEE WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP UNDER COACH FULMER" not the SEC, not national, not NIT, nothing!!!

Welcome home?...Spurrier is NOT from Tennessee...He was born in Miami and went to school for a short time in Johnson City...He's not a native tennessee boy by means..He will NOT be the next coach at UT I can promise you that....Saban is a prostitute who I wouldn't want anywhere near our program and good ole Johnny is just too old now...Gruden wouldn't consider us, He's making big bucks in the NFL
