Who Wants Chris Petersen as the new coach?!?

Yes, you are amusing me greatly. Like because u or Justin say it is so. It is awesome surreal. I have been on this site long enough to know Justin is could for research but if you agree with him you missed something. So keep going--What about Mickey Mouse?

I've got to get up early in the morning so I'm getting off here.

But while you're dreaming about the "Smurf Turf" coming to Knoxville, just do one thing for me. Put Peterson head to head with each coach in the SEC and honestly ask yourself how he'd stack up to them with in-game coaching and recruiting. Goodnight.

Are you dodging my Mickey Mouse question? What about Obama? Ok, Trooper?

I've decided to no longer argue with you since you seemingly are presenting yourself as clueless about this whole situation. I think deep down you know that Peterson's the benefit of Hawkins recruiting, a weak schedule, and 2 big plays in a BCS bowl game. Other than that what's he done besides beat up on terrible teams in a terrible conference and a terrible OOC slate.

What about Mini-Ditka? Your OOC argument has merit but not conclusory at all. Hawkins is a joke.

It's the recruiting that worries me the most.

Steve Sarkisian the USC Assistant Head Coach/Offense Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach the past 3 years is who we should look into. USC has stacked their talent pool not to mention the NFL draft not to mention he is only 34 yrs old so he could relate to the players much better.

Actually Hawkins' isn't doing that bad of job cleaning of Barnett's mess, still, I wouldn't want him coaching my team but he's a better candidate than Peterson.

Hiring a coach because "he has ties to the west coast" is a waste of time. Some top recruit from the west coast is not coming to UT just because a coach "has some ties" there.

Then you should worry less. He is a fine recruiter.

Fine for the WAC. He's not going up against Meyer, Saban, Richt, Spurrier, Tubberville, Tressell, and all the other National Championship caliber coaches UT recruits against on a regular basis. So yeah...I'd worry.

Butch Davis...geeesh put down the kool-aid the guy we need to go after is the guy who has been the Assistant Head Coach the past 3 yrs and is only 34 yrs old and that is STEVE SARKISIAN Assistant Head Coach
Offensive Coordinator Quarterbacks

Please do not use the kool-aid reference if you do not understand it or know how to use it appropriately. It is really a very tired metaphor, and it wasn't really that clever after the first or second time it was used, anyway.

Instead of "put down the Kool Aid", a better metaphor is "put down the crack pipe." That seems more fitting in a lot of cases.

Although it is not a line of poetic brilliance, I will agree that it is more appropriate.
