Who are we missing?

Tennessee has become a wall flower program when hunting a coach. Why would anyone want this? From the way they treated a Hall of Fame legend to the hiring of an AD that coaches hate, add the expectations that are not based on history and small in state recruiting base, it is just not very attractive of a job.

Again, go tailgate, ride your boat down, grill out, play corn hole and have a good time just do not expect to win big for many decades.

There is no evidence to suggest that Currie aggressively pursued or wooed any of those guys. You don't just hire a top level coach by calling his agent. You have to put a package together. You have to make a pitch. I don't think we've seen anything from Currie where we should give him the benefit of the doubt that he made a good pitch to any of the best candidates, much less that he did so to all of them. This is the guy that was trying to keep Butch until last possible moment.
