just for comparison (from UTsports):

Manning- 89/144 61.8% 1141yds 11td 6int in 10 games
Clausen- 121/194 62.4% 1473 yds 15td 6int in 9 games
Ainge- 109/198 55.1% 1452yds 17td 9int in 9 games
Bray- 98/179 54.7% 1537yds 14td 7int in 8 games

I may go with Casey since they put up some insane points on offense that year

i was going to say Clausen and after looking at the numbers i'll stick with it.

Ill say Bray simply because of the numbers and what he had around him to work with. All those other guys had much better and deeper protection.

I think it comes down to Bray and Clausen and went with Bray based on the supporting cast.

Concerning games played, do you know how many were starts?

I went with Bray simply because of the supporting cast around him. But this, in no way, makes Bray the best QB out of the four.

That was my question as well. I voted for Bray based on 4.5 games of real production and the three 300+ games. Does anyone have the number of 300+ games for the rest of the list?

Any discussions about UT QB's automatically end with Peyton regardless of facts or stats that may or may not support the argument.

Ainge beat Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. How did those other guys fair against these three teams in their freshmen seasons? Also, he set the record for touchdown passes as a freshmen. Ainge was the best as a freshmen, hands down imo

Bama

Manning lost (his only loss as a starter that year)
Clausen won

neither started versus Florida

Neither started versus Georgia

Ainge was the better freshmen, but Clausen and Manning were better for the rest of the careers, obviously. The verdict is still out on Bray but I would be shocked if he didn't outperform Clausen and Ainge for the duration of his UT career

If Bray had more starts then yeah he would be the hands down favorite here as what he has done in such a short time is remarkable.
