Who is UT's OL coach now? I see that...

Cregg got hired by X in LaLaland. I think letting him go was a really dumb decision by Dooley, if, as I read, Cregg wanted to stay at UT.

I've been wondering that too. Cregg did a great job this year with a patchwork line. As far as I can tell, we currently don't have an O-line coach.

Chaney has an extensive resume of being an OL coach thorughout his career. He can do both OL and OC as he has done in the past. May be why there has been no mention of a possible hire.

If Cregg going to USC after the events that occurred didn't convince you that he was kind of full of crap, nothing will. I'm glad Dooley made sure all the Kiffin guys were out of town.

Chaney is a very good offensive line coach.

If I had a graceful option (and couldn't include myself), it'd be Ron Prince.

I wouldn't go so far as to call DD's decision not to retain him "really dumb," because we don't know all the facts and circumstances. That being said, Cregg did a great job and I had hoped we would keep him.

I am sorry, but if he wanted to stay at UT his next stop would never have been USC... he was playing UT. He is a Kiffin clone - worked with him at the Raiders and left with him in the middle of the season. No integrity.

Bye bye.

I gotta agree with you kinda fishy that the first place he runs too is back to you know who!

Did Dooley let him go or did he leave?? The GVX article I read about he and Reaves said that it was unclear. There are contract and salary implications for UT if we let them go. I hope that's not the case.

It's rumored that he will coach quarterbacks along with his OC duties.

If Cregg wanted to stay and Dooley got rid of him, then that's a horrible mistake in my opinion. We had our best O-line play in years this past season, in spite of having to use two walk-ons and a converted tight end.

Just long enough to sway recruits West?

Yeah I heard Cregg had a big time man crush on the jackarse that left so I dont blame them for letting Cregg go. Not to mention I think Hamilton is investigating USC contacting our early enrollees and commitments and he's checking to make sure someone wasn't calling, emailing, or mailing information to those out west because Orgeron was wanting recruiting info he left here and Hamilton woudn't give it to him so he was thinking Cregg or Reeves might give it to him anyway

With gregg accepting "Mr. X's" invite then that alone should say plenty. If Gregg had some character and integrity left over from what "Mr. X" and Co. did then he would've said no thanks.

It would be no different than if your boss left for a new job and left you behind along with all your fellow co-workers with no warning in the dead of night. Then called you up a week later and asked you if you want a job. Oh yea...so you can screw me again.
