Word is that the day that Phil was fired, she put a voodoo curse on us that we would never win another championship.

I'm going to Savannah in a couple of weeks. I'll look up that voodoo lady from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and visit Bonaventure cemetery.

The trend is 'strength and conditioning' and if I'm "too blind to see it I should go watch girl's volleyball?"

Look man, I don't know what point you're trying to make, but you need to take a minute to calm down and drop the Keyboard Warrior routine if you want to try to make any sort of actual sense. Believe it or not, you might not be the only one that's been involved with any sort of athletics.

JRM has had shoulder issues since before this year. Kirkland rolled his ankle. Sutton broke a bone when planting, same with Sapp's ACL. Multiple players have had concussions. Linemen get rolled up on and Kendrick had strep as well. Nothing really lines up with some sort of systemic issue.

Has S&C been flawless this year? No, it hasn't. But to act like this rash of injuries "lies solely with the S&C coach" is insane.

true if it was the S&C wouldn't the injuries be more consistent ? instead of everywhere ?

Serendepitous happenings are a biatch because you just can't explain 'em. But, because we are VolNation, we can assign blame as we see fit.

Imagine if the only ailment suffered was an orange stigmata and everyone associated with the team in any way had it at the same time. Another school would try to woo recruits but suddenly they'd see the orange blood and get freaked out until all the the five stars were only Vols. The players didn't mind though because with "the sign" special privileges came like: no more injuries, protection and supernatural assistance on the playing field. (Wealth and power emanates from everyone in Vol Nation and our reign shall be eternal.)
Later through revelation we learned this "season" of reward was only allowed to be brought about because of the season of suffering first. Now instead of looking for someone to blame we know that's who to thank! I'd watch that movie. Let's call it Sign of the Vol. Because this miracle football season deserves a miracle movie just as supernatural. The best part is how the orange T on the wrists starts glowing like the sun once the game starts. It's a sign that the season of suffering is over and the new season is the season of eternal glory and much, much more! Absent of any actual concrete evidence proving the root of the problem , this can be the explanation until we find someone to blame on a witch-hunt. As fun as that would be, in reality I think we all know who is really to blame but no one wants to be the first one to say it.

So Bama pays their strength coach $525k/yr and we have an "interim", that looks like he eats Krispy Kreme's 3 times a day, after firing Lawson. This makes about as much sense as us not having a QB coach. S&C coach is one of the most important positions on the team as they spend time with the players year round, even when other coaches can't. Every snapchat video they're still doing old school exercises just like Lawson had them doing. Of course this interim worked with Lawson.. why fire someone and promote his protege if you weren't happy with what was previously accomplished??
