I think Riley would be the most likely guess. Has shown more interest and Orgeron is recruiting him.

There has been more talk about Riley recently. Either way, a nice result. Some reports are giving Riley a label of having an attitude. Some of these are linked to Elam's feelings about competition coming into UF recruiting for his position. Any thoughts?

Where did this rumor come from?

Chances of landing Powell are slim IMO, although I wouldn't put anything past this staff.

It could be a number of guys considering how talent rich the state of California is.

This is how bs rumors get started and threads turn into 500 pages of info that turns from who is it with the OP to Powell is a lock and his teammate too.

I call bs.

Powell is not coming here, he never even visited and the only attention he gave us was when UT was the first team to offer him. After that its been all USC and Florida.

I am saying he pulls Uko.

Uko was very interested in us and then all of a sudden it just dropped off entirely.

We know about D Riley, we know about D Wright, even J Shirley has been discussed alot.

If it is a secret big time get my money is on a DL who would be coached by O at TN.

hmmm pretty interesting rumor. all the names mentioned would be more than welcome in Knoxville in my book. With UT's coaches, CEO especially, you just never never know. it's going to be an interesting next few months

Are you saying that Riley doesn't like the competition or Elam? In either case, if they don't like the competition, they have no business coming here...but I would think that has been made very clear by these coaches. I am no recruiting guru by any means, just an average follower. Just seems like Riley would be the obvious guess. Maybe this rumor means someone that we wouldn't expect though...but then again it is a rumor so take it with a grain of salt.

The rumor was that Monte told both Elam and Riley that they could be the next Eric Berry and Elam took offense.

Neither one of them could be Eric, they may be good players in their own right but Eric is a once in a generation type of player, he has been as good a player as anyone over his 3 years here.

May get Riley, Elam is a Gator.

I was referring to Elam being fussy with UF about recruiting others for what he thought was his position. Competition was speculated to be his issue. Looks like some of these guys would start to relaize...the better players on my team makes me able to be better and look better too.

Who is recruiting Scroggins? I was watching a broadcast of the Knoxville QB Club and whoever the recruiting guy they had on was saying that we are still very hard after Scroggins and that he had a strong feeling we could turn him into a commit. Just wondering who we had on him and if it could be him that is the rumored name.
