Who is the most overrated player in the NBA?

Melo and Kobe are taking ridiculous jump shots and consistently drawing away the other teams best defender and often a double team. Looking at a shooting % is hardly telling.

So do guys like Wade and Lebron (who shoot high %'s and did so when they were 1-man shows).

Passing out of a double-team is an excellent strategy, and that's the value in having a player that draws double teams. Shooting a poor % when double-teamed is not a good strategy. You don't get extra points for scoring on 2 defenders. Pass the ball. Your team will score more and your % will go up.

I'm not trying to say that Anthony is LeBron, because he isn't, but you need to consider the teams too. Almost team Kobe and Anthony have been on have had at the very least a sold post presence (minus Kwame Brown). What I'm getting at is that these players are going to be trying to open up easy shots for their bigs.
On the contrary, neither James nor Wade have ever really had a solid offensive post player (minus an old Shaq with Wade).
If it were all based solely on individual statistics like this, one would be lead to believe DaeQuan Cook is not only OKC's best player, but the best SG in the NBA. In reality he doesn't even start.
Watching a game is much more meaningful way if judging players.

If you watched games then you would know that when Kobe and Melo force 17 footers, they aren't trying to "free up their bigs".

If anything, a good big man will open up their jumpshot.

Where the hell do you get that from?

Well... Russell Westbrook has certainly made a case for himself.

Hopefully OKC will dump him for cut rate.

To the Blazers because we need another PG.

If you need a shooting guard, get Westbrook. If you need a point guard to run the offense, stick with Miller.

We need a shooting guard. Roy is obviously past his prime and I'd be shocked to see Rudy Fernandez be here next season... Which leaves Wes Matthews and Patty Mills, who make for a nice 2 and 3 deep, but Portland desperately needs a shooter, and Westbrook could come here and be the primary scoring option.

Westbrook isn't really a shooter

I know. Pipe dream, not gonna happen.

Though as of right now I have no idea what will happen. Nobody here seems to have any idea who the next GM will be.
