Carl Pickens by far the better receiver
Patterson the better athlete

That's funny!! Pickens was a better DB than anybody on this years team, punt returner, kick returner.....He was pretty good. Hands down, better reciever and athlete.

Would not say much for UT if the best in TN history was someone who only played a year.

Based on what?

At this age I believe Patterson has more physical ability than Pickens. That's not to say Pickens wasn't great, because Pickens was great. I just think Patterson could be a top level player in the NFL. Just my opinion and I've been wrong before.

There are kids in Jr High that are better than our DBs, so that's not saying much.

You put CP in open space with the ball and he just makes other players look silly. Half the time defensive players are grasping at air when they try to tackle him. His ability to stop on a dime and then cut it back is just freakish. Patterson has a rare gift, but it's going to take a damn good coach to make him realize his full potiental. If his next coach can do that, he will give opposing coaches and players migraines just thinking about how they will defend against him. Right now he's getting by on pure athletic talent, but the sky really is the limit if he can learn and put forth the effort into becoming a more polished player.

I voted for Carl because he is probably the best WR to come through UT and was much more polished than Patterson is.

That's fair!! I was really just saying, Carl was a pretty good Athlete, this years secondary probably doesn't do that juctice.

Pickens played both ways and could run a route. Cordarrelle is very, very, raw. He has cost us at least 3 interceptions because of his inability to run a route correctly.

Actually, Pickens is the better athlete. Their running styles look very similar, with both having that deadly jab step. However, Carl ran better routes and more had more acrobatic receptions. Pickens also played some defense for UT his freshmen season. I'm not sure how you could think Patterson is the better athlete, if you watched Pickens play in college.

Hard to vote against Pickens. However, if Patterson turns into a better receiver, he could surpass Pickens in my opinion.

Carl Pickens played Offense and Defense, punt and kick return. Carl hands down. CP 2012 has big shoes to fill

Parker and then Pickens. If Patterson had been at UT for 3 years already it might be different.

It's a toss up in my opinion, but I have to go with Carl since he punched a student ticket writer. I always wanted to do that!
