Who is really to blame...

IMHO, Heart offered Martin exactly what he had earned this season given the poor play at times during the season and the improvement during the tournament. 500k is nothing to sneeze by anyone and seems fair I suppose given the way things turned out this year. A 2 yr extension also seemed fair given the fact that next years team would have been all his and the lackluster recruiting so far this year indicates possible trouble.

No the idiot fans that signed that petition shoulder some of the blame.

How do you know it was all UT fans? It was an online form. Anyone in the world could've "signed" it and signed it multiple times. This petition bs has been blown WAY out of proportion.

Nothing to blame anyone for. Clean break for both parties. UT will get better coach most likely and Martin will not be fired at the end of next season at Cal Berkeley.

Blame me. I could care less what outsiders think, as long as we move on and get a good coach that knows the game. When I was younger I always cared about others perceptions, regardless of their accuracy. As I age and my lifespan shortens, and I don't give a **** what the uninformed think. That would be caring what 99% of the world thinks anyway. The end result is the key. If we get a solid coach thru this and are on our way in 3 years rather than starting over again, blame whomever you choose. Who cares.

We saved ourselves from paying a buyout. Dave Hart should be thanking us all for the petition. He probably signed it a few times himself.

He didn't want CCM, but was obligated to keep him after he finally made the tournament and had a decent run.
