Who is our main Rival?

Being rivalry week as it it, I was just wondering who our main rival is. Every team that I think of already has another main rivalry. I hate Alabama, but its obvious Auburn is their biggest rival. I hate Florida, but Florida State is arguably their biggest rival. South Carolina maybe? They've got Clemson. Who knows... Honestly, I think it would be entertaining to start hating mizzou... because its just mizzou. Did anybody see them taunting our fans after the game last week?

Not completely serious obviously. Just food for thought. :popcorn:

Oh and it can't be vandy because a rivalry has to be competitive :)

Ourselves at the moment.

Once the team wins the mental battle and learns how to win consistently, they will win the field.

If our fans threw things at the MO players, they deserved to be taunted.

Nobody takes us seriously yet as far as a Rivalry goes.
We will get there again.............sooooon.

It's Alabama no question about it


Although it would be fun to kind of start one with Missouri

Right now, Vandy. We are both consistently bottom of the SEC East. Until we get out of it and start beating Florida and Georgia again that's the reality of the situation.

No matter what happens today, Vandie isn't really a "rival". It's a completely lopsided history.

Yes, we play every year. No, it's not technically a rivalry.......

Yep, it's bama no doubt..... Doesn't matter that we lost 8 in a row, just like it didn't matter when we won 7 straight. They are the most biggest rivalry and most hated. It doesn't matter whether the teams are on par with each other or on different ends of being dominated. It's also ok that the Auburn may be a bigger rivalry. Just because we hate bamer doesn't mean that we can't hate Florida too.
The history with bama is a also what makes the difference.

Florida or Alabama. Right now it doesn't seem that way but some great games have come from these two opponents.

As of now, Vandy. It's been the only competitive series the past 5 years. All time is Bama and FL though.

Alabama is a rivalry game. Florida is a rivalry game. Georgia is a rivalry game. Missouri is NOT a rivalry game.

In order to have a rivalry game, there has to be a certain level of respect or at least grudging admission of the other schools' occasional superiority...there also has to be a level of grudging respect for the other schools history and traditions and program as a whole.

Missouri fans are the most irritating, screaming little brother complexed, irrationally and undeservedly entitled pieces of trash I have ever had the pleasure of hating...they are in the SEC, but they don't fit...aTm fits...is respectable, has valid and long-standing traditions...and their fans are a perfect fit...

Missouri fans are something else altogether, as is the behavior of their team on the field...cut blocks with the intention of hurting the opponent by taking out knees...infamous for this kind of crap.

This is not a rivalry...Missouri isn't rivalry material...this should be a hate game. Simple hate. Hurt them. Ruin their season. Turn their program into a dumpster fire...turn them into Vandy west....destroy them on the field and ridicule them in the stands...

I don't hate Florida...I don't hate Bama...I don't hate Georgia...nor Vandy nor LSU or aTM or even USCe. I don't like them and I want the vols to beat them as much as anyone else...

But I ****ing HATE Missouri and their fans....pricks, every one of them...

Florida does not consider UT a rival. Simliar to Vandie and UT.

UT never beats Florida. So, it's really not a rivalry.

UTs rivals are:

Alabama

Auburn (played every year before split. I miss this)

Ole Miss (played every year before split. I miss this)

Georgia (more so now because of east merger. Used to not play annually)

Bama. They own more losses to UT than anyone else.

UK and Vandy- We own more wins against them than anyone else.

Georgia is the underrated rival. We are basically 500 against them and we get most of our talent out of state from there.

Alabama is probably the main one. The big 3 of UF, Georgia , Bama are our season defining games. It will be nice when we start doing our part to make them rivalries again..
