Never know. I mean we didn't really expect Powell to commit. But I mean bates will commit in 2.5 weeks. Not too long

May be confused, but didn't Poona allude to committing soon? Like before June ends? If not, I'm not sure why I think I saw that somewhere. But if he does, I like our chances.

Agree Terry. We are set with skill position players and speed. Now is the time to reel in some big uglies on both sides of the ball. Bates, Moseley, Sawyers and Barnett would seal this class. Malone, Gaulden and Truitt would be icing on the cake.

When you think of all the guys who are leaning towards us, especially DL's & LB's, I would think one of these 3 WR's would commit pronto.

Sounds like Lauderdale & Booth are ready to commit now, which would mean no room left for a Tennessee kid who may be the best of all of them! I know that sounds crazy but when you have guys like Palmer committing out of nowhere, I think this class is going to fill up quickly. Wouldn't it be strange to enter NSD for once with all of our available slots already taken?!

Agree. We're also trying to build quality depth at all positions, but there's not much left after the senior DT's leave. So I think it is a very key position to fill in this years' class. Hopefully, if we start winning this year, and it's going to be difficult, the recruits will see that it's not just talk, but that the program is on the upswing. We may not win more than 6 games, but we need to be competitive with the big boys. Plus one upset to go 7-5 will be what's needed.

My guess is also Gaulden. I think he has known he's a Vol for awhile so he needs to go ahead and pull the trigger. I'm sure JF is in desperation mode and pulling out all the stops trying to change his mind because he knows it too.

I bet he is more in the August timeframe after his Dad and him visited SC Saturday.
