LSU is going to be similar to the Pittsburgh game. This will not be an easy game, but one we should win if our offense continues firing on all cylinders.

And if Heupel doesn't Fulmerize by playing to not lose rather than out right playing to win. He needs to adopt and stay with an Admiral David Farragut attitude.

Going off a scale of:

-Amazing
-Really good
-Solid
-Not great
-Seriously needs improvement

We would be, by position (IMO of course):

QB - Amazing
WR - Amazing
RB - Solid
TE - Really good
OL - Really good

DL - Solid
LB - Really good
DB - Seriously needs improvement

So using the same formula, where is LSU by position? I know they are supposed to be amazing at WR, I would give them “really good” at QB, but that’s all I know.

Lmao we are not "Really Good" at linebacker. I would categorize them as Serviceable.

“Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!”

Another quote from a different military leader I like:

“Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent. I am attacking.” - Division General Ferdinand Foch, Battle of Marne, 1914 (Later Marshal of France, Supreme Allied Commander by the end of the War)

Foch’s counterattack at Marne was incredibly effective. He was able to stop the German advance. Many lauded him as a genius.

It was at a cost however, with the French offensive efforts early in the war having large casualties. Many post war analysts were critical, with others continuing to praise.

That said, the war was eventually won by the allies. 🤷‍♂️

Without Tillman, our receivers are not "amazing," and you have over-rated our OL and LBs (and maybe RBs).

Not knocking the team, just being realistic. Let's revisit this after we face the two red teams.
Without Tillman the production was on par..... the OL protected against UF and Pitt.... RB's are decent as well as LB's. Secondary is woeful. TE's are decent

UT:
QB-amazing
WR-higher end of really good (amazing with Tillman)
RB- solid
TE- solid
OL-middle of really good
DL- really good
LB- solid so far
DB- seriously needs improvement

LSU:
QB- really good/ not many mistakes
WR- really good/ Boutte can be amazing
RB- solid
TE- Lower end of solid
OL- needs improvement, maybe not serious improvement
DL- really good, bordering amazing had they not lost 5* Smith to an acl
LB- solid
DB- really good, could play their way to amazing

We'll need a clean game and much, much better tackling to win this one. A couple of big plays from special teams would be nice, too. We just can't go into this one with the UF game plan. We need to attack on defense like we did vs Pitt. I'll take my chances playing aggressively.

It’s all about getting pressure on LSU’s QB. The o line hasn’t been very good for LSU, going to need the front 7 to take control.

if UT gets an early lead, and can really pin their ears back and go after the QB, this one could get ugly quick(and by ugly I mean beautiful). Otherwise, LSU will be in it till the end and will not be an easy win. Coach Heupel needs to make sure the team stays focused on LSU and doesn’t look ahead to Bama, as well.

WR: Really good
RB: Solid
TE: Solid/Not great
OL: Solid

DL: Amazing
LB: Solid
DB: Solid
