To those who listen to the Sports Animal, you may listen from 12 noon to 3 PM for "Sports 180" with Josh Ward & Will West. One or twice a week, a regular caller who calls himself Mike calls in, and before he finishes his call, he makes disparaging remarks about Coach Pat Summit.

I finally have heard enough, and called in to let them know I am through with their program. I pointed out that since Doc Jeff and Heather in the morning refuses to take his calls. as well has Sports Talk with John Wilkerson & Jimmy Hyams, they have my respect, while Josh and Will, who continue to allow this jerk on the air, have completely lost it.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I highly doubt there is a single soldier who ever gave his life in a war for a nimrod like Mike to continually berate one of the classiest ladies I have ever met.

Not only am I boycotting Sports 180, I know who their sponsors are, and refused to do business with them, until Josh & Will man up, and push this abusive clod off the air permanently.

I just wanted Lady Vols fans to be aware of this.

And just in case Mike reads this, I have nothing to say to him. Not words.

I hope you are wrong..... but if what you say is true... i want to help you track down the piece of garbage and give him a good talking to till he understands his wrong... and apologizes to Pat and All Tenn Vols Fans and finally learns to change his way...

Sounds like Small Mike, a.k.a. The Cattleman. Haven't listened to The Sports Animal in a LONG time, but as far as I know everyone else has banned him. His act/agenda is so tired that I'm surprised he gets anyone's Jimmies rustled anymore.

If he ever made a salient point, his misogyny more than makes up for it.

If he's Cattleman, I'm sure what got him lit up is Pat's $75000.00 salary...he was harping on her getting paid on Basillio as nauseum...thing is we will never be able to pay her enough for what she's done for the program.

That's the guy and he did exactly as the OP said. Heard the call and have heard him do it before. Ward and West think they can handle him, but he still gets his pot shots in on Pat and the LVs every time he calls. He has some real mental issues and is eat up with himself. I applaud the other shows that have cut him off.

This is rather mild by comparison.

It's dumb on his part, but it's comical, to me, that people think it's more beneficial to give it attention rather than ignore it.

Exactly. Let's be thankful that we aren't limited to the thoughts and beliefs of the people that defended freedom (even if most are noble)

Will West is a blithering politically correct idiot. He specializes in rumors and gossip so it is no wonder he allows small mike or whoever to stir the pot. I stopped listening to that clown long ago and it appears that nothing has changed since I tuned him out.

Freedom of speech doesn't protect an individual's "right" to call into a privately owned radio station. They can refuse anyone's call.

He's allowed to freedom of speech, you're allowed to freedom of not listening.

I honestly don't mind Small Mike simply because it's funny how moronic the guy is. The only person he's hurting his himself.

But if the only thing we have to worry about is a guy calling into a radio show and offending us then I'd say we're living pretty damn good.

1st world problems are the best.

There was a time I really liked listening to the guy....Not sure why now.

It appears he feels Pat is done and deserves nothing financially, especially with the cash flow problems at UT. Will and Josh countered his rant that many recruits, some not even Lady Vol recruits, want to meet her...She meets them when she can, and is a great ambassador for UT. She is worth a great deal more than the 75K.

It is his right to speak his dislike of Pat. A revolution was fought for that right....It is also our right not to listen to the guy, part of the revolution too.

I believe Mike likes the controversy he creates.

I thought about this for a awhile, and I respectfully disagree. Though most of us, including me, are appalled by the tactics of Westboro, they are still expressing their freedom of religion. They are misguided and need to check out scriptures about casting stones. But their motives are to serve God as they see fit.

Mike on the other hand, is an abusive jerk who's only pleasure is jerking people's chains. And Josh and Will are morons for letting him on. If Mike is so in love with Geno Auriemma, (If I misspelled his name, I don't give a damn), he needs to move up there to be near him.

You are right only 75k for a lifetime isnt near enough for what she has done for UT -- if he has a beef, steer him to the 2 most worthless buyouts in UT history - Dooley and Sunseri

I truly believe that "little mike" should be invited to an "old fashioned"Tennessee ass whipping party.People like him know that no consequences will happen except cutting off his inane calls.At times only a physical "conversation" will help the light to show.If not,repeat as necessary.
