"You're basing the better QB on 40 speeds, etc."

Find this in my post, and I will send you a formal written appology. In fact, my posts in this section were prefaced with the statements along the lines of...."this has nothing to do with who the better QB is"

CAN YOU NOT READ?

Go back and read my posts again, then gather yourself before you make statements that have nothing to do with what I said.

Sorry. I've gathered myself. I thought I was responding to something totally different than I was.

I still love you and hope you will forgive me.

I still refuse to believe that someone who complains about the distance between the parking lot and the practice field causes his feet to hurt is a better athlete than Crompton. Ainge has a faster 40 time according to Rivals, but who knows how accurate that really is? Brent Schaefer's 40 time used to be a 4.5, now it's a 4.4? I guess he got faster. Maybe the timing was just a tad inaccurate. It seems to me that Schaefer is much faster than Ainge (who is listed as running a 4.6).

We'll never see either of them in a footrace, but I think when Crompton gets his chance to play (which may be 2 years off) you'll see that he's a much more athletic (not necessarily better) QB than Ainge.

OMG! I can't wait until the season starts so at least you guys might actually have something remotely legitimate to bitch about when it comes to Ainge.

Remotely legitimate.... Hmmmm...... How about 2005? Or did he meet your expectations last year? If so, please excuse the bitching.

NOT remotely legitimate. Who gives a _ _ _ _ ?

Well, everybody on here is constantly questioning Ainge's toughness. I just thought I'd throw another example out there. Take it as you will. Also, that quote was meant as a comparison between Ainge and Crompton. I wasn't just randomly complaining about Ainge for no reason.

Ainge had help in 05. It wasn't all on him.

Exactly. I think the criticisms of Ainge's toughness are ridiculous as well. It's funny that no matter how bad of a beating he may have been taking last year, I don't recall hearing about him asking to be pulled out of the game a single time. If he's such a pansy, then why was he upset that he wasn't the starting QB the whole season?

Ainge's problems last year were sloppy, lazy footwork (a problem that I identified early last season) and crappy receivers that couldn't catch a cold. Hopefully having an offensive coordinator and QB coach that has a clue will help the former. Hopefully Trooper Taylor will be able to fix the latter.

I think I'll wait until I see Crompton attempt a pass in a game before I call this one.

These sound like remotely legitimate complaints to me.

Personally, it's hard for me to put the blame of last year on Ainge or Rick.

I saw many passes that should have been caught by our WR's.

The coaching staff needs to do a better job of establishing who they want to be the QB.
The shuffling last year was embarassing to the players and the fans.

Last year, it was evident that our coaching staff was incapable of establishing that.

Ainge was fine in 2004. No, we don't need to "hypnotize" him and make him "start from scratch."

He needs to develop better footwork, regain his confidence in himself, and the WR's need to prove to Ainge, the other QB's, and the coaching staff that they are going to make some plays like the recruiting analysts promised.

It happened a few times in 2004. Hopefully, Erik remembers how that feels.
