Who gets fired first when AD is hired?

Ball security, tackling, and run fits are bigger issues then the scapegoating of the strength program.

Yes these things are important on the field. Off Season is what makes or breaks a program. Rock being hired is the best recruit Butch has brought in. He will make a tremendous difference and guys that have talent you will see a big difference

Holly should of not been put in the job to begin with. I loved Pat, but her type of ball does not work as well as it did 10 years ago. She was great enough to make it work, but Holly seems to have a harder time getting players working on D that always would keep Pat's teams in the game. Not all her fault-different type player now a days.

I think no changes in major sports unless a definite personality conflict. Barnes probably safest, got a very young team. Then Jones. Football is making money and no issues other than only winning 9 games the last 2 years. CHW may be the least safe. Been here awhile, record continues to get worse, and attendance is down. Not a major money sport but season ends about the same time as the new hire should be here. She may need a good finish to the season. Baseball not having off field issues so I imagine he is safe for at least one or more seasons.

Fahr'em all!

I'm not sure why Jones' seat is so hot according to the board. Oh yeah, the fans expectations.

Every bit of that is true but it doesn't excuse the fact that she has driven a powerhouse completely into the ground.

I don't disagree with that. Its just less important than football and part of the reason she will probably get more leash.

The first part is probably true. Saying the others have a 3 year guarantee unless the leave is an extreme stretch.

I have little doubt the new AD will give Butch his "vote of confidence" after he is hired. It will mean nothing, and everyone will know it, but he will have to say it.

If Warlick is retained after this season, the new AD already has strike one. A good season by Serrano and he's safe

We need to remember that good'ol Hart gave Holly a pre-mature extension. I'm sure that is extra money tying us down.

Im sure he will. And he's not coming in attached to Jones for credibility sake. His credibility as an AD won't be judged by firing Jones or any other coach. It will be jugded by what he replaces them with.

Jones will get a chance in his 5th year to prove he is a long term hire. I don't see UT waiting him out 3+ years to decide if he is.

Serrano has a very good recruiting class coming in and if any luck that is not bad I think he is safe for another 1 or 2 years. Our problems are a lot larger than Vbaseball. Holly is sad to say going to get another chance because of next years recruiting class and she should be on a short rope. Jones is looking for a way out every years according to rumor and next year with a 7-5 he will get his wish. I do think they will let him leave on his own to save money.

And if you can't trust Rumor to provide accurate information, who can you trust? :eek:lol:

Warlick is an absolute disaster, and has been a disaster since she was stupidly given her job. We should be a top five team with our starting five; instead, we are not in the top 25 and just lost to miss. state AND ole miss. Commentators feel sorry for us.

Probably Nick Saban.
UT's new hire as AD will be so spectacular that it will send shock waves across the SEC.
Alabama and all the other pretenders to future SEC titles will be so shocked and awed that they will realize immediately that they can not possibly contend with the future of UT football, so they will give up on the spot and let Tennessee Waltz its way to all the future championships.

I think he would have to go 9-3 or 10-2 for that to happen. He's not getting 3 more seasons at 7-5, no matter what our insiders say.

I think he puts himself in a bad spot at 8-4.

He gets to 9 and it's pitched as step forward in the regular season. Even tho that still might not win the division.
