I think you misunderstood my answer. I answered Maryland wouldn't have wanted any part of him either.

I've got family in Annapolis, Crownsville.
Bless their hearts, they're crow fans too.

Go Vols & Bengals.

I was going to say sorry man, but then I saw you put go Bengals, lol. I kid. You are correct, I misunderstood.

The fact is that this was initiated by a single sports writer or blogger, that I will not name but will say he is not from Knoxville. Before he goes on a rant about Schiano, who by the way has never been included in what happened by any authorities or investigative bodies, .. before that my guess is that most people had no idea he even coached at PSU. Then we had someone paint that stupid rock with attacks on the man. This coupled with a bunch of ignorant (and I don't mean that as an insult but just that they didn't know anything other than what this sports writer claimed) fans panicked and the firestorm started. I believe it got so out of hand that the mob might have stoned someone if they had disagreed in public.

Now as for this same situation playing out at another school, it very well could have.
And the lesson learned.... don't believe what you read online or see in the news until you can verify it for yourself
and even then count to 10 before commenting publicly.
Sorry...Greg.

It's been almost a year, just let it go.
LET IT GO? After ONLY a year??? This is Tennessee my friend. I am still pi$$ed off that Peyton didn't win the Heisman 22 years ago! Heck, I am pi$$ed that Johnny Majors didn't win the Heisman. Ain't NO fan base that can hold a grudge like we do. 😂😂😂

Both Oregon and UCF fand reacted the same way BEFORE TN did. The difference is we are 5x the size of a fanbase. Some of the same media members made comments of how it was a bad look for those programs but someone it was ok for TN?

Then Ohio State wouldn't even name him their interim. Which was again praised as smart by the same media members that dogged us.

Keep spewing your BS though. He is a great man and should have been embraced with open arms by the fans.

68-67 record at Rutgers in a sorry conference with his best seasons coming courtesy of Ray Rice is about the only lesson that was needed.
