Last year we lost two crucial players to injury early on; Harrell our best defensive player, and Inky our best starting CB. Then we lost EA for a couple of games, and we lost both. Who is the one player besides EA that we can't afford to lose this year? I'm going out on a limb since I've never seen him play and say Kenny O. at WR; since we're so thin at that position. WE have plenty of talent, but it's awfully young talent at WR.

We can't afford to lose any of our DTs, because we are thin at the position and don't have a whole lot of experience. This position will be very important for our run defense. Its the position I am most worried about.

After Hefney, either a DT or OL. I'll leave the names open since, as of now, we don't have a Harrell or Sears.

I would say Ainge. What is the word down there on how Crompton has looked in the spring? I watched the LSU game, and he hit on a couple big plays to Meachem, but other than that didnt look too good. Which, is expected, since it was basically his first important action.

he didn't look impressive at all to me in the spring game. i thought stephens played better

Inky our best starting CB.

Wade was our #1 corner before the season began. Inky wasnt projected to start until Fellows got hurt.

As for player we can least afford to lose, I'm gonna say...Colquitt, because they we'd be losing our punter and placekicker.

i thought lincoln would be our kicker? or is he kicking the short stuff, while colquitt kicks the long ones?

In all fairness, LSU plays great defense.

Offense-Ainge(I really think the offense is good enough all around to survive any 1 big injury, McNeil is 2nd, imo)
Defense-Mapu, XMan, Mayo, and Hef could all argue for this spot
Sleeper-Colquitt

I think the drop off from Hefney to Wardlow is far bigger than from Ainge to Crompton.

I'll say Hefney and Colquitt. I have confidence in Crompton. He could be a starter at numerous schools around the country and a few in the SEC and to me the only difference in Ainge and Crompton is experience

Hef is the best argument especially because of his run stopping support. As season without Mapu or Bolden could be a long one as well.

I'm gonna say D. Morley, oh wait that idiot took care of that.:banghead2: I know I should get over it but he was awesome last year in a lot of games and could have been something special this year. :cray:

i think nevin mckenzie will be better this year than morley would have been, but we will never know. does morley still want to get back on the team next year?

If I remember correctly, per our discussions on here. Morley had bouts of stardom with moments of being caught completly out of position. Im sure another yr under his belt would have worked wonders, but its a moot point now.

I know morley left the team, but I can't remember why? Wasn't it academics?
