The LBs "should" be a huge strength to the point they have to figure out how to get all those guys on the field. The secondary should he decent (it cant be worse than last years injury situation). The run defense last year was bad, so maybe Robinson and Hobbs stays healthy and its better.
Its possible they can just be "ok" off the edge and it not be a huge deal.

Replace? The guy never played a down. He has 8 career tackles. Replace what? Heupel should be slapped in the mouth for letting Ross and Herring get away.

This would be the time to play a 3-3-5. There’s no doubt they’ve got a couple of LBs who are around 225. Coleman was 215-220 at best.

That is what I say Coleman was never here to begin with. He is not being replaced at Tennessee. Glad he was let go. Do not need these type of individuals in your program. This will happen more with the NIL mess.

NIL payments of that amount should be reserved for proven players. For example, we have 1.4 million to Keys. Sure, he looks like a great WR prospect, but then we find that he is coming off an injury and hasn’t caught a pass. Too me, that’s just stupid.

He is still going to school this year with UT. The kid is 19 and already played a year. I guess he will redshirt and try and play somewhere next year.

I don't believe He couldn't transfer there this year , egardless. Even if he did ever play again, I highly doubt Ohio St or anyone similar would touch him anytime soon.I just don't ever see him playing football again. Guess we will see.

Doubt they are still paying him since he will now be just a regular student..He definitely couldn't play anywhere this year outside of maybe Juco. But, sounds like he may be done with football. Really not sure his heart has ever been in it to play football, he's always preferred basketball. He will stay in school on scholarship and work on his degree.

What if you could’ve made $2m instead? Which would you choose?

The point is, the kid did the right thing. He’s obviously very concerned for his own health with concussion issues. There are things more important than football.

How many millions did Fulmer give his buddy Kevin Steele to do nothing for a month? Let’s be mad about that. Reworking his deal to $25k is a pretty unusual thing for a kid to do.

If we are having to convert a LB or safety to edge to a starter we have way bigger problems. I find it hard to believe there was zero depth behind Coleman.

What is the difference between him pulling a head string rather than a ham string????? You send somebody else out there. Part of the game. Who knows what Owings can produce to fill the void from the squad.
