Not this season. Portal closed. He could transfer to a juco school , but it would be suspicious to get cleared medically 2-3 months later.

This transfer stuff is about like Halloween with a bit of Billy Madison mixed in.. Sometimes, you go to someone's door, and get really good treats. And while you are out, someone comes to your house and pulls a trick. Chaz Coleman was burning on the porch, somebody stomps the fire out, sniff the wet stuff on their shoe, and yells, "It's poop again".

I hope so too. Not everyone is mentally or emotionally ready for college right after HS.

That's one of the drawbacks I see of the new NCAA 5 years to play 5 seasons rule. IMO, the 5 years should start as soon as you enroll, regardless of what else you did prior (as long as it wasn't professional sports). So, if a guy wants to work in a warehouse until he's 23, then go to college, he won't be able to play more than 1 season (if he's lucky) under the new rule.

And what's it really matter if a guy takes 12 years to play 4 or 5 seasons? As long as he's not playing professionally, who cares if he wants to drive for UPS or be a rock star for a few years in between. Plenty of regular dudes and dudettes do that all the time.

That is probably a bit over hopeful, at least the "star" part. But amongst the returning players, or some of the new additions? There may be one or two that will compete to fill the void. And they make deserve the star adjective being linked to them. But to be called a star, they cannot just be knocked on their ass, and be the guy we wonder why the Hell he ever thought he deserved to run through the T ever.

We have a loaded LB room so my guess is someone in that room is being moved to LEO

Way too much stock was being put into his 8 tackles..Dude only played 150 snaps. His pass rush grade, which was considered elite is what had him so highly rated. There's nobody on campus even remotely close to what his potential was. Obviously we will never know, but he didn't have teams like TN, Ohio St and LSU chasing him because he sucked. I highly doubt he ever plays football again, which sucks. Would have loved to have seen what he could have done here.

They are welcome to continue their education, outside the window they can participate in collegiate sports. Plenty of room for them in the student section. I also support not having 21 year old HS sports participants. 5 for 5 is clean and eliminates back room inconsistencies.

Yes. But also, Knowles will utilize more traditional DEs rather than a LEO. So you will likely see guys who can play either DE spot like in the old days. So something like:

WDE- Norman, Weathersby, Gass/Golston
DT- Hobbs, Utley, Finch
DT- Gilliam, Robinson, Campbell
SDE- Dye, Norman/Weathersby, Gentle/Gooden

I think Weathersby, Gooden, Norman are guys who can play either DE spot in this system. Jordan Carter is another freshman who might be able to provide some depth at either DE spot.
