I'd pay big money to see an all out eating contest at Golden Corral Buffet between Mark Mangino, Ralph Friedgen and Phil Fulmer, when they haven't eaten for a few hours!

Be honest and put aside any allegence or disdain.
Mine are:

1- Pete Carroll( Enough said)
2- Urban Meyer( East coast Pete Carrol)
3- Steve Spurrier( Gets way more out of less)
4- Bob Stoops( He turned around a bad OK program)
5- Butch Davis( The NC at Miami was with his kids)
6- Jim Tressel
7- Nick Saban( I do not personally like him, but he is great)
8- Ralph Friedgen
9- June Jones
10- Jeff Tedford

These are who I think are the best coaches in college football. What do you think?

As difficult as it is to win a national championship, I would think a coach with a ring would be rated higher than 8,9,10 on the list.

Let's push for it. All we have to do is say that we heard it from a "respectable source" that Bruce is taking the football head coach job. That'll get it going:crazy:
Just kidding, please don't start 20 threads to discuss one coaching issue again, "whether Bruce can actually coach the football program."

Bronco Mendenhall

other than being DC for the Lobos and producing Urlacher, VIA I must ask you what has he done? Didn't BYU go 6-5 last year and then lose their bowl game?

I'm not calling you out, you usually know your stuff, so I'm assuming there's a lot about Bronco that I don't know, other than he has a sweet first name.

I think that list makes up the top tier coaches at this moment. Dont know that I would put anybody else in that same company at this time. Obviously, if we are talking about the list more in terms of total accomplishments Joe Paterno, Bobby Bowden and some others would be included.
