ok so now the guys start preparing for Cal today which means the coaches pretty much know who the starters are or atleast have a pretty good idea at every position. I read somewhere that Troop said that only 4 or 5 receivers will make the trip to Cal which means that we should be hearing about those guys getting the most reps over the next week or so, and they will be the guys who will make the trip... but umm... who are they? :dunno:

As for 3-6, it's bunched up, but in some order, it's Briscoe, Hancock, Moore, and O'Neal.

Jones has a hammy problem, it was hard to evaluate him. I do not think the 2 is solidified beyond Cal. They just had to pick two to prep for the game.

Vinson might not even make the trip to Cal. I, personally, would take him, but he's done nothing to warrant playing time.

Cutcliffe, as much as I question his playcalling at times, has always created a good passing game with decent talent at WR.

Not a dynamic group, in my mind, though.

Rogers should not worry you. O'Neal seems to really be getting the routes down so with his speed I seem him putting up some numbers.

He needs his hands to suddenly get better. It is good news that the receivers have been open.

O'Neal has lacked that key ingredient receivers must possess , it's called the ability to catch a football

Imagine in three second you are running and moving at top speed trying to remember all these new techniques for route running and then bamb the ball is on you right as you turn your head. Now imagine the route running is natural and the game slows down and the ball softly lands in your hands. Troop called it, once these guys stop thinking and start playing like it is natural this is going to be a special group.

Didn't seem to bother Denarius Moore or Gerald Jones.

You base your predictions on someone magically remembering how to play football and I'll base mine on what I see in person.

I have faith in Trooper but he has a lot of work to do with O'Neal before he should get major playing time

Neither was Joey Kent's in 1995... but a good QB has a way of making the wideouts better. Lets hope they can hang onto the ball long enough for Ainge to do the same.

i dont kno, i kno that Rogers, Hancock and Taylor are supposed to be the most reliable, but ive just had my heart set on seeing Gerald Jones and Kenny O'neal under the lights on Primtime TV for about 3 months now

They could take Jones for ST and let him return a few, or if he plays to his potential then maybe play some wideout also.

so as i see it, if Troop is serious about taking 5 of the recievers, it would be Rogers, Taylor, Moore, Jones and O'neal
