Personally, I don't see why this is not possible:
I'm counting 11 spots open, because I'm thinking Skipper is gone and Sanders is gone. I'm assuming we keep everyone else we have.
1. Carl Lawson - I think we did really well here on our OV. I think he came away very impressed. I think the opportunity to start early, plus the fact that it's the SEC, and Auburn doesn't seem to be lighting up the recruiting trail, may help us.
2. Marquez North - I think this guy is ours. I think he's just keeping NC around because they're the home state school. Similar to Da'Rick Rogers leaving UGA at the last minute. He wants to play early. He wants to make an impact. He will do all of that here, in the SEC against the best defenses in the college football world. I would be shocked if after everything, he turns us down.
3. Vonn Bell - I'm about 65% sure on this one. Alabama is going to be tough to beat. But luckily, he grew up a fan. I think CBJ has done a AWESOME job showing him the love he wanted. This kid would have already been ours had Dools not sucked. I think bringing the whole D-staff was a good move, and I think the OV will solidify him. He'll be that little boy that grew up a Vols fan on his visit. No doubt. I still think it's a tough pull, but I think we have a much better chance with CBJ.
4. Derrick Green - I feel about 55% sure of this one. I think ultimately, the SEC, Jay Graham, and Distance works on our side. If DG doesn't care about those things, he's all Michigan. But I think Mama will want to see him closer and in the SEC. I mean, he's GOT to be intrigued about being in the company of Yeldon, Gurley/Marshall and the other SEC backs. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lost him, but I feel pretty good about him.
5. Jaylen Miller - If we want him, he's ours. Blew him away on his visit, I don't see any way we don't get him if we want him. 95% sure on this one. 5% is if we turn him away, which I don't think we will.
6. Davin Bellamy - I do think ultimately he flips to us. I just think once again, SEC appeal will win. He seemed pretty impressed by his visit. If we can convince Mom, we'll be alright. 70% sure.
7. E.J. Levenberry - I think we steal another FSU commit here. If this guy liked the last staff, minus Sal, then he should LOVE the staff now. Plus, having Sal at FSU, has got to create some bitterness there. I don't see him wanting to be at FSU if it's as bad as he says. 85% here. I think he's always liked us, just needed the right situation.
8. Christian Morris - Can't lock down the state and not take this guy. I'm not sure he's rated accurately, but the principle remains, he's a highly-touted instate kid. This is a "Statement" commit, that would say that we are going to get the best players in our state (Sadly, Dooley screwed us over with Ramsey and Herron, but oh well).
9. Shelton Gibson - I think if he's choosing between us and WVU, I feel really good about it. As long as grades are in order, he's ours. We are going to be freakin loaded at WR.
10. Jason Smith - This is my "surprise recruit." Haven't heard much about his recruitment, but I think this will be CBJ's big surprise, much like Hunter and Rogers were Dooley's. I think this guy comes in and competes at QB, or is just used in many different ways. I think we steal this guy. I really do. Don't know why, I just feel it.
11. Johnathon Ford - I want to get this kid just to piss Franklin off. We need two backs. I have a feeling Tom Smith and Alden Hill may not be around much longer. We need the depth. I don't think there's any way we don't finish this class with 2 RBs.
So, that's my opinion. I don't think we get Chongo, because no room, and we can get quality HS linemen that can have a redshirt year under their belt.
Players that could be there, and I just don't know about:
Tyler Boyd - you have to take this kid if he wants to come.
Skai Moore - We need LB, would be interesting to see what happens there.
Arshad Jackson - TE is another position of need.
Antonio Riles - Another one you can't turn down.
Josh Dobbs - It's either him or Smith as the second QB.
Again, JMO. But...I can see it. It's a pipe dream most likely, but I really don't see why we can't land most of those guys.
